"Do you want some?" Ferris held out a bottle of sunscreen to his adoptive Pogue mom. The group was now on the Heywards boat, going out to try and find the Royal Merchant. Popi couldn't help but notice how ridiculous the boy looked in a buttoned-up Hawaiian shirt of John B's and a pair of JJ's pants. He looked completely out of place for what she has seen him in before but the more she looked, the more he was starting to look like he belonged in their group.
Popi had explained the whole operation to the boy when the group had gotten up in the morning. Ferris seemed surprised, to say the least, but he kept quiet and listened to the girl. She informed him of everything but the money. Which both of them knew he would get no part of.
"No, thanks," Popi smiled at the boy. "This color doesn't come from putting that stuff on."
Popi was sitting next to her brother on the front of the boat, letting her body tilt a bit to talk to JJ, who was driving, through the window. Ferris and Pope had started a conversation a while ago and the two looked like they were hitting it off very well. Popi could hear Kiara join in after she heard something one of them said that drew her attention.
It was a while before John B spoke, "Alright. JJ, pin it here,"
"Roger that. X marks the spot,"
"All right, ladies and gentlemen." John B announced pulling out the ROV. "To going, full Kook."
They all watched as the boy put in the ROV. Anxiety swept over the group, not knowing if they were going to find what they were looking for or get disappointed.
"Let me help you," Ferris offered to Kiara, who was going to be manding the rope to the expensive device.
"Thanks," Kiara let out a relieved chuckle. "I do not like having to be responsible for this much money,"
Popi was standing with her brother, watching through the screen to see what the drone was seeing.
"All right, JJ, we're right over it. Ten seconds northwest." John B was shouting instructions over the wind to the boy who was driving.
"One hundred feet," Kiara called out and Ferris marked it with chalk on the boat.
"Cool!" Popi called out and her twin jumped back when a squid appeared in front of the camera. This action caused John B to spur into action, appearing by the twins. JJ even turned around to make sure everything was ok. Ferris and Kiara were too focused on making sure it was still going well.
"Don't do that to me, flower," JJ and John be complained, having their hopes raised.
"Sorry, it was a squid," Popi waved her hand in the direction of her boyfriend. "You missed it, it was pretty awesome."
