"Uh-oh!"
The girls had driven over to the chateau the morning after they were supposed to be left on the boat. They had no idea when the boys would be going to check on them so they had to guess and arrived at the shack at 6:30 am. It was a lucky shot because the HMS Pogue was missing which told the girls they had a good amount of time before they figured out they were not there anymore.
It was truly a gift to see the look on the boy's faces as they speed down the marsh towards the Rutledge dock. At first glance, they looked beyond worried, and JJ and John B were currently fighting with each other about where they could be. When they saw the girls standing on the dock, well-rested, and thoroughly pissed, their faces pinched up.
First, it was confusion, then it was alarm, then relief, and then confusion set back in when they tried to piece together how they could have gotten the boat back to shore. But as they pulled closer to the girls, they were being taunted.
"Did you guys lose something?"
"Having a bad morning?"
The girls had woken up early in the morning, due to not closing Kiara's curtains and being awoken by the sun. They spend a good couple of minutes in a tense silence before they broke out of their shells and finally agreed to be friends. Popi had finally opened up a bit to the Kook princess and was finding out the only really bad thing about her was her attraction to John B. The girls spent the morning laughing about how they all woke up snuggling. They grabbed a quick showing before taking a quick snack.
"Don't give them the satisfaction that of thinking that this worked," Kie muttered to the girls as they waved sarcastically to the boys, who were pulling up in the boat.
"Absolutely not," Sarah agreed, watching as Ferris and Pope jumped out of the boat to tie it up.
"Oh, I'm about to give them so much shit," Popi grinned, seeing her boyfriend jump off the boat and shuffle is way up to where they were standing. He was twisting his bracelets around on his wrist and made quick eye contact with her to assess whether she was angry or not.
"You gotta admit it was funny," John B tried to ease their minds about the whole situation. He was doing a poor job seeing as all the girls were looking at him with scowls on their faces.
"John B," Popi looked at her shaggy-haired friend, "Mastermind, huh?"
"I'm always plannin'" The boy gave her an innocent smile, hoping not to get the rath of Popi today.
"Some patriarchal bullshit," Kiara said to the boy, not agreeing with them teaming up against the girls.
"Yeah, that sucked," Sarah agreed, swinging her arm around Popi's shoulder, who in turn threw hers over Kiaras.
