"Um Stiles? Why is Isaac sitting in a box in the hallway with a towel draped over his head?" Stiles was sitting at his desk, face pressed into his book, "Stress." He sat upright, "Der, when will my normal sleeping pattern return from war?" "After midterms?", Derek offered, feeling a spark in his belly at the nickname. "That's ages from now, and I'm tired", Stiles sulked, putting his head down once more. Derek shook his head and went to pick the other boy right of his chair.
"Derek! Put me down!", Stiles squealed as Derek carried him out of the room over his shoulder. "Nope", the wolf said, "I'm taking you for ice cream!" "But I have two essays and a presentation due tomorrow." "And you're almost done with all three, so you deserve a goddamn break", Derek grumbled. "Fine!", Stiles exclaimed, "But please, for the love of god, put. me. down." He punctuated every word by slamming his fist into Derek's shoulder."
Derek grinned and put him down, "Good boy." Stiles looked at him unimpressed, "Reversed dog jokes. Really?" Derek chuckled, "Suits you right, you call me Lucky almost every day." Stiles mood shifted visibly the farther away from his dorm they got. The grouchy, tired student made room for the puppy-like, bubbly kid that Derek knew (and loved. Shut up brain!).
They ended up in an ice parlour a few blocks from campus, Stiles feasting on a chocolate-vanilla soft serve, while Derek went with two different flavours of fruit sorbet. Stiles snorted, "Even with ice cream you're healthy as fuck, I really don't know how you live, sourwolf." Derek shrugged, "I'm lactose intolerant." Stiles stopped, "I'm such an asshole. Sorry, I didn't know." Derek smiled, "It's okay, my sister Laura was way worse when we were kids."
Stiles frowned, "How so?" Derek chuckled, "She used to say I tolerate people like I tolerate milk and that's why I have no friends." Stiles snorted and as a result he almost choked on a mouthful of ice cream, "I NEED to meet your sister." Derek looked horrified, "Oh hell no, Cora would destroy you out of annoyance and Laura would embarrass me to death. How about we don't?" Stiles laughed before finishing his ice, "Whatever helps you sleep at night, furrball."

And of course Derek wouldn't be Derek if he didn't have the luck of a trampled duckling. A couple of days before his final exam both of his sisters kicked in his door, "Derbear!" Derek looked at them in horror, "Laura? Cora!? What on this godforsaken earth are you two doing here?" Cora rolled her eyes, "Jeez, loser, don't get your panties in a twist. Mom asked us to check up on you because you didn't call."
Derek groaned, Laura and Cora had a tattoo-shop about three miles away from campus and this wasn't the first time his mom send them on a supervision quest. "Well, I'm eating, I'm sleeping, I'm very much alive, so you guys can tell mom everything's fine." He looked at his watch, "I gotta go, I'm meeting up with a friend for lunch." Cora grinned, "Sweet! I'm starving." Derek paled a bit, "Oh no, you're not coming."
"Um, yes I am", she snarked, "And so is Lau, so suck it up, you big baby." Derek sighed, there was no way he could win this. "Fine, but play nice, okay?" She shrugged, "Whatever." The three of them walked to the pizza place that had become Stiles and his favourite spot. The boy perked up the moment he saw Derek enter, "Dude! What took you so long? I already ordered, peperoni with extra meat right?"
Laura smirked, "Well look at that, Derbear, he already knows your orders by heart. How cute." Stiles frowned, "I'm sorry, and you are?" She extended a hand, "Laura Hale, Derek's older sister, nice to meet you." As he shook her hand, Stiles' eyes got that mischievous glint Derek associated with trouble, "His sister, aye? Then you must be Cora." The younger girl grinned, "The one and only, nice to meet you."
Derek was ready to die when Stiles turned to him and frowned, "Hey, what's wrong, sourwolf?" Laura immediately whipped her head up, "Sourwolf? Derek, did you tell him?" Derek rolled his eyes, "Of course I didn't, idiot, he's aware of the supernatural, practically grew up with the Ito pack." Her eyes went wide, "He knows Satomi Ito?" Stiles smiled, "She's my godmother, so yeah, I'd like to believe I know her."
Laura practically interrogated Stiles for the rest of the meal and the only thing Derek could do was look at his friend while he explained what it was like to grow up with one of the most powerful packs of the North. Once she was satisfied and Cora had devoured two pizza's they stood up, "I think it's about time we returned to the shop. Stiles, it was very nice to meet you, and Derek, for god's sake, just try to call mom from time to time." Derek shook his head, "Love you too, sis."
Laura grinned and pulled him in for a hug, "Of course you do, I'm awesome." Cora also came in for a quick hug, "See you around, bitch." Derek bumped her shoulder, "Jerk." She grinned, then followed her older sister's lead out of the pizza place. Derek turned to Stiles, "Sorry about that, they just showed up." Stiles smiled, "Are you kidding, they're incredible! Almost just as cool as you!" Derek smirked, "Almost, huh?" Stiles chuckled, "Almost."
