Jennie's POV

"Pick it up."

"No."

"Pick it up!"

"No!"

"If you don't I will."

"No you most certainly will not!"

"Then pick it up yourself"

"Nooo..."

"I'm giving you five seconds before I pick it up, one..."

"Um..."

"Two..."

"Uh..."

"Three..."

"Oh please I just need more time!!"

"Nope, you've had enough. I mean we've been staring at it for 30 minutes now! Enough is enough. Four..."

"Ok ok I'll pick it up!"

"I'm waiting."

Glaring at Sandra, I headed over to the kitchen counter where I had carelessly left my mobile phone which was blinking like mad signalling that I had one new message only problem was I didn't want to open it having a gut feeling it was from Jo.

No. Scratch that.

I didn't have a feeling.

I knew.

I involuntarily shivered, as I went to pick it up holding it in my hand I just stared at it like it was from another planet.

"Seriously! Give me the phone Jennie." Sandra demanded

Snatching it out of my hand before I could even protest, eyes scanning over my messages with zero facial expressions, not good.

"Well... what she say?" I asked hesitantly fearing her retort

Sandra raised her eyebrow then looked up at me "um so... do want to explain why she's calling you a cupcake?" Sandra question trying to stifle her giggle which happen to be sneaking past her lips.

Groaning out loud, I held my hand out to Sandra for my phone

"Now you want it?" she huffed placing the phone back in my hand which I just slipped in my pocket

She raised an eyebrow "You're not even going to look at it?"

"No."

She sighed dramatically a sign that she'd given up on me

"Ok then... well what you going to wear for your date then" she teased

"It's not a date!" I argued

"Yes it is"

"No... No it's not!?" I sounded unsure of myself, curses.

Sandra laughed having picked up on my uneasiness

Drat.

"It is not a date... I'm not gay." I muttered looking anywhere but Sandra's judgmental stare.

"keep telling yourself that Jen, but we both know that as soon as I leave you'll be worrying about what to wear tomorrow" Sandra sighed leaning against the counter facing me

"Sand what am I suppose to do? This wasn't supposed to happen" I cried in frustration

"Well first off be honest with yourself that you feel something for Jo Levee no matter how small there's something there don't deny it, and secondly accept the fact you ARE going on a date tomorrow night."
