"W-What are you doing?! Are you crazy?!"

Death shouts, attracting unwanted attention. He grits his teeth, yanking his hand away from the girl's grasp. It's ungloved, and he could feel the warmth leaving the surface of his skin. "Y-You.." He stammers, staring at the woman with an unreadable expression.

You touched me? He wanted to ask, Aren't you afraid?

"Please, help me." She croaks, eyes teary as if she had been crying, "You're the only person who's willing to talk to me. Everybody else I know thinks I'm crazy." Her voice lowers, and Supra couldn't help but panic; he's never dealt with sobbing girls before.

Use your head, not your heart. He told himself, scolding him for his inconsiderate behavior. "L-Let's talk somewhere else," He says, directing the both of them away from the crowd.

They both settled for a deserted corner coffee shop.

The bell rings, signaling their entry. "Welcome to Death by Chocolate!" A worker chirrups excitedly, probably a new employee. As they enter the expanse, Supra couldn't help but order one of his favorite drinks. After what just happened, he needed something to boost his energy.

"One iced Americano, please." He says, fishing out his leather wallet and turning to the shorter figure beside him, "Do you want something? I'll pay this time."

Girls like chocolate, he remembers Glacier saying to him.

"O-Oh! There's no need for tha-"

"She'll have one hot chocolate." Death cuts her short, and the bartender nodded in reply, cashing out the order and diving right to his job. Grateful, she follows Supra to the darkened spot of the cafe, where no one could possibly hear them over the speakers.

She folds her hands, sitting down right across him. "Thanks. How did you know that hot chocolate's my favorite drink?" She smiles, "I'll repay you, if you'd like."

"No need." He responds, crossing his arms. "It's.. j-just a wild guess." Yeah, just a wild guess. He turns away, the tips of his ears burning again from the unexpected comment, "I-I'm glad you like it. Now speak."

"I'm sorry for what I did back there. You could say that I'm desperate," She starts slowly, "Oh by the way, my name's Yaya. Sorry for not introducing myself earlier- it must be creepy for you." He nods, silently. "Anyway, I came there so I could find someone."

Death took the initiative to ask, "You know someone?"

"Well.. no." Yaya answers, correcting the end of her sleeve as she sees the waiter approaching them slowly from a distance, "I really don't. But I do have hope, and I think that's enough to keep me going. Don't you think so too?"

"Think what?" Supra raises a brow.

"That there's hope. Maybe somewhere, out there," Her voice drops into a whisper, as he follows where her gaze was going- out the window.

"The Grim Reaper spared my brother alive."

Rain starts to patter against the window.

"So it's my time to go, eh?"

Death tilts his head slightly, resting on top of his scythe's handle by the arm. "Yes." He purses his lips into a thin line, "Your time has come, Ying."

The said girl sighs, setting her round blue spectacles by the dresser near the bed. On it, she had a glass of water, and multiple pill containers, each screwed open and emptied. Death averts his eyes to her very fragile being.

"Good." She says, licking her dry, chapped lips. "I've been waiting for this moment anyway." She looks up, peering into his shaded eyes, "Take me now, whatever the hell you're supposed to be."

He nods, curtly, and stands upright, putting the soul reaping weapon by her right shoulder. "Ying, any last words?" He runs his tongue by his bottom lip, expecting some sort of breakout.

She didn't.

Instead, she said, "To hell with the people who made me suffer this way." She inclines her head to the direction of the scythe, "Kill me. Make it fast, will you? I don't wanna stay alive anymore- not in a wicked world like this."

Dipping his head slightly, the reaper said nothing else and raises the weapon high in the air, dragging it down fast and swiftly.

In the moment, he could feel the girl's soul being detached from the chains of her incapable body. There was a smile, the ghost of it gracing her lips before her body drops back onto the hospital bed.

"Thank you.." She whispers, her white, spiritual being floating in the air. He could see her shilouette, eventually disappearing.

Supra blinks, unemotional.

He looks out the small glass frame by the side of her bed and walks over to it, intrigued by the view.

Outside, thousands of spirits were ascending into the air, like lighted lanterns that fill up the night. He desummons his weapon, taking his eyewear off and wiping it against his coat.

The sight indeed is wonderful.

He puts a hand against the looking glass, seeing his own, human reflection and then drops it by his side. He notices a succelent in the corner, still green and freshly cut by its owner.

Humans make everything look so beautiful.

As he leaves the room, the plant starts to wilt.

Then it withers away, leaving a single patch unmarked, by the contact of the Grim Reaper's touch.
