A lioness ran to the tree of life with all of her might. The rain came down on her like spears. She pushed forward, her cub cried in her jaws.
"Hush, little one." She commanded as a figure waited for her at the tree of life. The figure was queen Janna of the tree of life. Just as the lioness thought she was safe a lion appeared in front of her.
"Give me the cub, Kaya!" He ordered but she avoided him and ran for queen Janna. Janna started to run towards her, too.
"I will find her and kill her, Kaya! She can't be protected here for long!" The male lion called after her as she ran to the tree. He soon was pushed out by the night pride.
"Dear, you look like a mess, come inside the tree." Queen Janna said and took her cub and placed the cub next to three other cubs her age. The cubs names were Sahasi, Ananda and Surak. Surak and Sahasi were siblings but Sahasi was older.
"This are my sons, Sahasi and Surak." Janna said as she introduced Kaya to them.
"This is my daughter, Nirmala." Kaya said as Nirmala tackled Surak.
