Neville thoroughly enjoyed his job as a waiter at his favorite cafe. It was a terrible shame he was clumsy though. He tried his hardest to carry things and for the most part was able to pass out drinks without tipping them.

He was busy cleaning a table when Ginny walked in. He hummed a song under his breath as he swished back and forth. So when she tapped on his shoulder he spun around and slid into her. As he stared into her shocked eyes, it took him a moment to figure out where he was.

He pulled himself up straight and smiled awkwardly. After leading her to a table and offering her a menu he rushed to the counter and hid behind it.

His manager and best friend Pansy was walking around the corner with another waiter as he attempted to spy on Ginny without being seen. She immediately stopped her conversation and glanced at his face. One look told her everything she needed to know.

She dismissed the other waiter and knelt on the floor next to Neville. After a few gentle prods she managed to get the story out of him. She then spent a few moments trying not to laugh out loud. Neville glared at her as she calmed down.

"I'm sorry Neville, but that is priceless. Your only crush since Hogwarts walks in and you do that? Go after her and say something." After that wise statement Pansy patted him on the head and exited.

Neville slowly started walking towards Ginny's table. She was busy sampling a cookie and didn't notice him. When he got to her table he cleared his throat softly.

She glanced up at his red face. He sighed, "Hey. I apologize for that inconvenient tumble." She smirked, "Don't be sorry. It was the perfect way to let me see how many feelings I still have for you. You are an adorably clumsy guy."

He was staring at the floor sadly until he heard her say that. His head popped up like an ostrich out of sand. She gave him a gentle smile.

He slowly reached out and grabbed her hand. As he sat down across from her, he couldn't look away from her shimmery eyes. They sat for the longest time, staring into each other's souls.

Finally Pansy was fed up with their staring at each other like lovesick fools. She switched the door sign around to closed and shooed the rest of the customers out.

Neville looked up to see Pansy's face surprisingly close to his own. She snorted, "When I said go get her I didn't mean for you to neglect your duties. I thought you enjoyed being paid."

He then realized that nobody else was around anymore. Ginny giggled sheepishly and rose from her seat, "I think I'll leave you guys to it." She tipped her head towards the two of them and walked towards the exit.

Pansy just stared at Neville. "I am so proud of you bud." She then hugged him. He slowly hugged back, shocked that the tough Slytherin had initiated a hug.

It had been the best day for Neville. He hoped tomorrow would be even better.
