The following morning was great, depending on the way it was looked at because Josefine felt ten times better and not even the slight drowsiness that  the medication caused would bring her down, Jo felt at ease when her mother fixed the light blue scarf around her neck before wrapping an arm around her shoulders and kissing the young girl's forehead while taking her car keys to drop her off at school.

It was at about 10:00 that she received a text from Bill, saying that they were doing great and that she had missed nothing and the hotel wasn't 'that amazing.'

Ingrid and Heidi, Jo realized, were close as friends could be and she could not be anymore right. Heidi was a third cousin of Ingrid and they had been in the same schools since kindergarten. They spoke so much and about anything that Josefine didn't even have time to worry about other people hearing, since the topics just kept changing so often.

"Jo, do you like...have makeup?" Heidi asked her, poking her cheeks softly.

"I have only a couple of things, why?"

Jo was ashamed to say she had "only a couple of things" when she knew she loved to experiment with eye shadows and shapes. She was not good at drawing in paper, but oh yes, her mother loved to have her daughter do her make up whenever she had some important dinner.

"Well" the blonde blushed, a bright shade of pink appearing on her cheeks "I've got a date tomorrow but I thought you two could you know..."

"Help you?" Ingrid's eyes grew wide but Jo saw in Heidi's expression that the excitement – unlike everything else those two had – was not shared.

"I'm sorry but you can't put anything on my face." The blonde said to her friend, Jo kept quiet; it looked like a fight was rising between the two friends. "I love the way you style your hair, but you just overdo the rest!"

"I over – what the fuck?" Jo chuckled lightly at the selection of fine words Ingrid had made. "Un – be – lie – va – ble. Have you been letting me walk around with ugly make up on my face?"

"No, you just do too much when you do it on other people..."

"Oh..." Ingrid relaxed a bit. "My bad?"

"So, who is this guy? Do I know him?"

Heidi got started, and she really did not finish talking until she ran out of saliva.

After a boring day at school, the girls took the bus and went to Jo's house, the girls walked up the stairs and the Spaniard threw her bag away, grabbing another smaller bag, she took her collection of beauty products.

"Good thing she had a few" Ingrid said as Jo sat on the bed looking through a big collection of lipsticks. "Take the pink ones."

Heidi read the label on some products she did not even know how to use.

"I never really use any of these." Jo admitted sheepishly.

After a short lunch the girls left to Heidi's, as Ingrid made curls on the blonde's hair Josefine put the makeup on her face. Once it was agreed that she was wearing a pair of jeans and a black shirt with a leather jacket on top, the Spanish girl decided to put some dark brown eye shadow on her friend and touch it up with black liner and applied the mascara so perfectly that her lashes looked almost too good to be natural.

"Are these mine?" Heidi asked as Jo stepped into the bathroom to clean her brushes, Ingrid was just finishing up with the long blonde hair.

"God they're long!" Ingrid leaned down to look at her in the mirror.

"Yes, don't blink hard; they'll stain your cheeks." Heidi struggled to keep a sneeze in.

The next couple of months were awful boring, Josefine had a lot of time in her hands and soon she started missing the boys. It wasn't fun anymore for her. While the guys were away they forgot to call her so much and she was starting to get scared that when they were home they would forget about her and just live their lives as famous musicians; the idea seemed ridiculous but even when it made her chuckle at night before going to bed, she knew in the back of her mind that it was scaring her.
