Harry reached the charms class just in time. He caught his breath and sat in his usual seat. With Ron throwing a fit, Harry figured he'd be sitting alone today. He pulled out his textbooks and a few pieces of parchment. He saw someone sit beside him in the corner of his eye.

"Hey, Harry," Hermione smiled as she pulled out her books. Harry raised an eyebrow.

"I thought you sat with Neville during this class."

"I do, but Ronald stole my seat," Hermione sighed while flipping to the page written on the board in her charms book.

"Sorry, Hermione. It's my fault," Harry looked down at his book with a frown. 'Did I take it too far this morning?'

"Don't blame yourself, Harry. He's been an asshat lately. If you wouldn't have put him in his place, I would've," Hermione reassured, patting Harry on the shoulder. Harry nodded as Professor Flitwick climbed on his stool and began to teach the class a charm that changed the color of your socks. After 40 minutes of watching people accidentally change random things various colors, they were dismissed and went to their next two classes before dinner.

Finally, the day ended and Harry and Hermione sat down at the Gryffindor table for dinner. Neville asked Hermione about her notes on the Defence project. Hermione readily helped him which left Harry to space out while gazing at his plate. He ate a bit between stray thoughts. In the corner of his eye, he registered Hermione grabbing her bag and waving off Neville. Harry grabbed his bag and walked to Gryffindor.

It was a bit boring without anyone around. He sat in a chair by the fireplace. He managed to finish a few papers before his mind wandered. He gazed out the window in the common room. Rain lightly beat against the pane of glass. The sky, that would be a dark sunset by this time, was a gloomy dark grey swirl of clouds. Harry thought of Draco.

'A hybrid? I really did think it was impossible,' Harry sighed. 'Figures Malfoy's a special jackpot of the two hotter creatures. Him and his bloody broad shoulders.' Harry thought as he spaced out. He snapped out of it when he remembered the weekly meetings. He grabbed one of his scrap pieces of parchment.

Let's study Fridays.

RoR, you remember that room?

~Harry

Harry wrote the short note quickly. He packed up the work he had finished and put his bag in his dorm room before leaving the common room. It wasn't past curfew, so Harry didn't bother with his invisibility cloak.

Harry walked through the dimly lit halls. Every now and then a straggler from dinner would pass and give a wave. After a while, he reached the owlery. Harry realized he couldn't use Hedwig, people would notice. Nonetheless, he still gave the snow owl a snack from his back pocket when the bird flew down to greet him.

"Not this time girl," Harry smiled as the owl gave him a small hoot before flying back to the roost. Harry walked to a barn owl on one of the lower roosts. He rolled note to prevent anyone from seeing what it said as the bird flew. "Hey, can you deliver this to Draco Malfoy?" the bird in question gave a small hoot. Harry nodded and gave the barn owl a treat for its troubles. He tied the small note to the owl's leg and sent it off.

"That's done," Harry smiled with a sigh. He walked from the owlery, unaware of the lurking eyes watching him.

"I should have known."

...

Draco sat in the library, thumbing through the book he had plucked off the dusty shelf. He heard a light tapping beside him. He glanced up from the book to see a brown barn owl waiting with a small piece of parchment. He opened the window and the wet owl waddled onto the table and shook out the water from their feathers. Draco let out a small chuckle as he untied the parchment from the owl.

"Thank you. Here, I actually have some muffin left," Draco picked up the last of his muffin and fed it to the owl. The owl hooted happily before flying out the window again. Draco shut the window and read the parchment.

He smiled and put it in the pocket of his robe before heading to Slytherin dorm rooms.
