EPILOGUE

Part One

"What are you hiding from me?" Amy asked Aaron. She had been feeling suspicious lately. She could feel he was hiding things from her.

It had been almost a year into their marriage. And they had spent all this time making memories. They visited new places, cooked new dishes. They made love almost every night. They never forgot to appreciate each other's presence. It was something they both treasured.

But now, since a few days, Aaron had been acting weird. He's been acting sneaky and secretive. And Amy couldn't help but feel insecure.

Is Aaron going behind her back?

Is he having an affair?

Does he not love her anymore?

Is he sleeping with someone else?

Amy couldn't help but feel doubtful. She couldn't stop all the questions that were popping in her brain.

Shaking away the silly thoughts, she focused on Aaron who had been silent all this time, still focused on his laptop.

Aaron soon found a healthy-paying job after he proposed her. He had been working as a manager in one of the firms. Amy admired how passionate he was with work. The firm also had offered them a new house and a town car, which they were too grateful for.

Amy, too, found a job. She had been working as a teacher in the kindergarten. It was her dream coming true. She had loved kids since always. When she would get free from school, she would tuition a bunch of kids.

"Did you not hear me?" She asked again, her voice raising an octave. But the only response he gave was a 'mm-hm' and 'yeah'.

Anger fuelled up inside Amy and she did the only thing she could do to gain Aaron's attention. Snatching the laptop, she slammed it shut in annoyance before placing it on the coffee table in the front of the couch they sat on.

Their home was not too big, but it was enough for the two. They didn't fail to decorate it with fairy lights that gave a soft lime-yellow glow to the rooms. They also hung photo frames of themselves and their dear ones, adorning the beige walls. Leather bean bags sat beside the couches, across which stood a large LED television on a self made wooden shelf.

Yep. Aaron new a tad bit of interior designing, which did them good by the way.

Now that Amy had Aaron's full attention, she asked the question that had been nagging her brain. Questions that had turned her brain into a turmoil and her emotions a mess.

"A- are you having an a- affair?" Amy finally spoke, a traitorous tear falling on her cheek, but she didn't care.

"What?" Aaron replied, his eyes widening in the process, "Why would you fudging say that?"

Another thing Amy loved about Aaron. Since she had told Aaron that they are mature adults now and they are going to start a new family and raise kids, he should stop cursing, so Aaron did just that. He stopped cursing. Or tried, in that case.

"You've been acting sneaky for the past week," she answered his question, "What do you expect me to say?"

Aaron sighed but didn't say anything. His silence caused Amy to feel insecure all the more.

"Was it when you came home drunk at 2 in the morning?" She continued when he didn't speak, "Did you lie to me that you were with your college friends?"

Aaron sighed again, but this time he extended his hand to wipe off the tears that had been falling non-stop now.

"Stop crying, Amy," he started but Amy cut him off.

Amy. He called her Amy. Not babe. Not sweetheart. Not cupcake. Amy.

"Don't touch me," she rudely turned away from him. "You didn't even deny the fact that you lied, you asshole!"

She was all but screaming now. She couldn't bury it in. She didn't want to. She had to let it all out.

"I shouldn't have trusted you," she yelled, "I should've known better when you came home late. I was stupid to wait for your sorry ass."

And with that she ran away to their room, locking herself in. She jumped on her bed and let it all out. She cried and cried. Until she fell asleep.

Aaron, on the other hand, sighed once again. He was confused as to why was Amy making a fuss out of small things. He thought it might be her time of the month. He knew that she knew he wasn't having an affair. He knew that she believed him when he told her he was with his friends. She didn't brought the topic up before. Why now?

Does she not believe him anymore?

Shaking the thoughts away, he went to their bedroom. When he found it locked, though, he turned back and headed towards the same couch he was sitting on a few seconds.

Flopping down on the couch, a smile appeared on his face as he thought about her.

God. He loved her to the moon and back. He couldn't even think of cheating on her. She's everything for him. His whole world.

He smirked knowing what day it was tomorrow and gave into sleep, thinking of how he will ask for her forgiveness. She'll love it, he already knew the fact.
