I know who the voice belongs to before I even see her.
Deyanira appears from the shadows.
"Nothing". I try my best to not sound nervous. "I was just going to..."
Deyanira interrupts me before I have the time to say anything else. "Don't you think I realize what you're up to?"
"Just let me explain..."
"Didn't you hear what I said before? Everyone who doesn't obey me have to die!".
Deyanira throws over me and grabs my neck with her both hands. Desperately I push away her with all my power and land on top of her. She's stronger than she looks like. Soon she's on top of me again.
"Obey me!" she shouts.
Suddenly, Deyanira loses her grab around me. Her eyes are wide open and she's falling back. Blood is dripping from her chest.
Behind her Mirabell is standing with a knife dripping of blood in her hands.
I am speechless.
Mira drops the knife. I rise, walk towards her and hug her.
"You're safe now. You saved thousands of humans' lives.
She starts to cry and soon my shoulder is totally wet.
