Chapter 40

Aang and Zuko were training again. I sat on top of a rock watching them, and offering tips. Although that didn't seem like something they needed. 

"Who wants a nice, cool glass of watermelon juice?" Katara asked walking over to us. She had some drinks in her hands. 

"Ooo, ooo, me, me, me!" Aang turned and ran over to her. I hopped down from my rock and followed him. 

Zuko grabbed the two of us. "Hey, your lessons aren't over yet! Get back here."

"What, I'm not even getting lessons!" I reached out towards Katara. 

"You're learning by helping me help him." 

"I'm not helping that much either!"

"Come on, Zuko. Just take a break. What's the big deal?" Suki asked. Her and Sokka were sitting on the steps and drinking the juice. 

"Fine." He let us go and we ran over to Katara. 

"If you want to lounge around like a bunch of snail-sloths all day, then go ahead!" Aang and I drank the watermelon juice. Zuko walked away from us. 

"Maybe Zuko's right," Sokka said. "Sitting around the house has made us pretty lazy." He stood up, setting his watermelon to the side. "But I know just the thing to change that. Beach party!" We ran down to the beach. 

"Ah, wondrous water," I said, letting myself fall backwards into it. 

"Aren't you a firebender?" Suki asked me from her spot on the beach. 

"No." I floated over to Toph and Aang. 

The two of them, and Sokka who was further off to the side. Were making sand sculptures. Toph's was a miniature version Ba Sing Se. And Aang's was a sculpture of Appa. 

"Whoa. Wow, you even made a little Earth King and Bosco." 

"Try and top that, Sokka." 

"Ta-da!" Sokka stepped aside, revealing a blob of sand. 

"Is that a blubbering, blob monster?" 

"No, it's Suki." 

"Suki, we'll all understand if you break up with him over this," Toph said. 

I giggled. "It looks kind of like her." Sokka smiled, hopeful. "Then again, I have no artistic talent." 

"I think it's sweet." Sokka ran over to her and kissed her on the cheek. 

"But it doesn't even look like-" Aang was interrupted by a sudden blast of fire shooting out and destroying Sokka's sculpture. We looked up to see Zuko running across the rocks. Aang jumped out of the way of another fireball. 

"What are you doing?!" 

"Teaching you a lesson!" The two of them ran off. 

Katara came over to us. "What happened?" 

"Zuko's gone crazy! I made a sand sculpture of Suki and he destroyed it! Oh, and he's attacking Aang." Suki grabbed Sokka and the three of them ran off following them. 

I got out of the water and walked after them with Toph. "You don't seem too concerned about this," Toph said. 

"That's because I know why he's doing this. He literally said it." 

We arrived at the house, where the two were done fighting. "What's wrong with you?!" Aang jumped down from the balcony where he was standing. "You could have hurt Aang," Katara said. 

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with all of you!" He threw his arm out. "How can you sit around having beach parties when Sozin's Comet is only 3 days away!" We stared at him. "Why are you all looking at me like I'm crazy?"
