An argument

Steven's POV

"Well first of all, how did you manage to break through my barrier?" that was the one thing I wanted to know the most. Only the other Diamonds can even crack it so how could she break it? She thinks about it for a few seconds before answering.
"I don't really know. What I remember is that I used my flame power to support my punch and I guess that worked" she says jokingly while shrugging. She doesn't know? I might have to go to the Diamonds for answers then since well, they do know about the Bloodstone gems powers I assume.
"Why was that flame of yours rainbow?"
"Oh you mean this?" a small rainbow flame once again appears in her hand. It always amazes me. I nod to her and the flame disappears when she giggles.
"I think it's that the gems they wanted to heal wouldn't be scared of the flame. In my opinion at least" I had to agree with her. Pearl did not seem scared of that flame at all. There was a moment of awkward silence between the two of us until Garnet walked it. She asked Y/n if she wanted to eat something since she didn't eat almost anything until now. Y/n nodded and Garnet smiled to her, closing the door and going back downstairs. I look back at Y/n. Her clothes, well technically my clothes, were a bit bloody.
"Oh right, the gems went out to buy you some new clothes since you probably wouldn't want to wear those all the time" I grab the new clothes from my closet and toss them onto the bed. They were some shorts, pants, t-shirts, hoodies, pyjamas as well as undergarments. I didn't really care about that. She looks back at me while I just look confused.
"Could you um... leave so I could change please?"
"Oh! Right" I leave the room and head downstairs to where the gems were.

Garnet had just finished cooking. She made us some spaghetti. Amethyst was on the couch, talking to Pearl about something. They didn't pay attention to me until Garnet greeted me. I didn't say anything back. There was once again silence in the room. Why must it always be like this? Before I could say anything to them about it, Y/n exited the room, wearing a hoodie and casual ripped jeans. Her hair was tied in a neat little ponytail (or whatever hairstyle you'd like). All of them smiled to her because of how well those clothes fit her but I didn't. I just sighed and sat down to eat. She sat down next to me, talking with the others and thanking Garnet for the food. Garnet then sat down next to Y/n, trying to get to know her. The other two joined as well. They all made jokes and laughed while I just browsed through my phone and ate, trying not listening to them. I did, however, overhear Y/n whisper to them.
"Is he always this grumpy?" Amethyst then answered.
"Yup. We just gotta deal with it" I stood up from my chair loudly, ignoring their stares and headed to the bathroom. I close the door and sit down in the empty bathtub. Seriously, what is with me today?
'I'm not usually like this. They all just piss me off so much.' I sink down further into the tub, hearing their chattering and laughter continue. Man, this sucks...

A couple of minutes or so pass. I'm still lying in the tub. I couldn't hear Y/n's soothing voice anymore. There was a light knock on the bathroom door.
"Is everything alright in there?" it was her. She sounded concerned. I get out of the bathtub and go closer to the door, sitting down on the closed toilet seat.
"Why do you care?" I answer back aggressively.
"Well sorry for worrying about you Mr. I'm angry at the whole world because I have nothing better to do." immediately after she said that, I swing open the door, almost hitting her as she looks back shocked.
"What do you know about me?!" I yell at her. The gems quickly stand up from their seats. Y/n's eyes fill with tears. She quickly wiped them off and ran out the door. They watch her run out, shouting for her name then turning back to me, all with different expressions. Garnet just sighed, disappointed. Amethyst and Pearl were both clearly mad. What happened to them being terrified of me?
"Good job Steven." Amethyst says angrily.
"What-" before I could say anything else, Garnet cuts me off.
"We don't want to hear your excuses. Go after her, now" she pointed at the door. I just sighed and went to it, feeling their gazes following me. Why did I suddenly regret shouting at her? It was her fault for bothering me. I exit the house, hearing the gems murmur something, though I couldn't make out what they were saying to each other.
