Chapter 13: Broken Glass

A month later it was the morning of James and Daniella's gender reveal party. Bucky snuck out before any one got up and met Corey at the end of his dad's street. As James and Daniella were about to leave to head to his parents house he called Winnie.

"Hello.." she said as she was walking up her drive way. She had just gotten the mail for the day.

"Hey is our youngest with you?" James said

"No it's the weekend. That means he is with you." She said as she handed Mitch a letter from the DA's office.

"Well he isn't here Winnie. He was here after the basketball game last night." James said

Winnie sighed. "You know this is your fault you had to have all boys. This wouldn't be happening if we had all girls." She said

"Uh excuse me..it's not like I told my little swimmers to make all of them boys but one." James said

Winnie opened Bucky's door. "He isn't here James. His room is empty." She said

James sighed. "Guess he got up before I did and left." He said

"Well maybe he will still show up. You never know James. Me and Mitch will see you there. And by the way it's probably because you are all manly man that's why we had all boys." She said

"Shut up. See you in a bit Winnie." He said and hung up.

"Son of a fucking bitch! This is such bull shit!"

Winnie heard Mitchell yelling downstairs. She went running to the kitchen.

"Mitchell Jordan I have never heard you like this." She said

"He is getting 4 years of prison eligible for parole after 2. And two years of probation." Mitchell said as he gave her the letter.

"What?" She said as she read it.

"So he is getting two years for the assault two years for the rape and 2 years of prob for drugging her." Mitchell said

"So it's basically a slap on the wrist cause he had a clean record. Well..there is nothing we can do Mitch. Let's just head to the party." She said as she put the letter back in the envelope and laid it on the kitchen counter.

They let Cassidy know that they were leaving as she was knitting in the theatre room. Meanwhile Bucky was with Corey and Tucker at Corey's family lake house. It was Corey and Tucker's birthdays.

James and Winnie both told Bucky he wasn't allowed to go cause of the gender reveal party. But he hasn't wanted anything to do with James' new life. Bucky and everyone that was invited was all at the house.

Cassidy was doing her laundry and Bucky's laundry. She saw the envelope and saw that it was from Natalia. She decided to ignore it and went on to the laundry room.

Winnie and Mitchell were enjoying themselves at the gender reveal. It was finally time to reveal the twins gender. Libby gave each of them a cupcake.

They took them and smashed them on each other's faces. The icing in the middle was blue and pink. "One of each." He said as he kissed Daniella he was all smiles.

Winnie felt a pang in her heart. Seeing her ex husband so happy for his new babies. She started to realize that she hurt him cause he hasn't smiled like that in a long time. Mitch wrapped his arms around.

"You okay?" He said in her ear.

She turned around and said "Mitchell..if I ever do anything that upsets you please don't cheat on me. Just come and tell me."
