"So I was thinking we should go on a double date," Firey mused.
Leafy turned her head and tilted it questioningly with her drink's straw still in her mouth. Teardrop shrugged and nodded. Woody spit out his air.
"What's a double date?" Leafy asked.
"A double date's when two couples go out on a date together."
"...Why would we do that?"
"I mean, we're already dating. So are they." She pointed to Teardrop and Woody. "I just thought it might be fun. What could go wrong? We could go to the ice skating rink or something."
Leafy's eyes widened. "The one with the laser tag arena?" When Firey nodded, she giggled and jittered around in excitement. "I love the laser tag arena!"
Teardrop shrugged again. "Could be fun," she thought. She turned to Woody and put on a questioning face. "What do you think?"
"What do I think?" Woody gestured. "I think going on a date with one of you is scary enough."
"Come on, it's not that scary."
"Not that scary? Really?"
Three days ago...
"Woody, come on! Stingrays aren't that scary!"
"Oh, sure! Just like that snake!"
"Woody, it's just a zoo. Now pet the ray before I throw you into the whole dang pool." She dragged his hand and yanked it down to the ray. Woody was shaking. He hesitantly reached down and touched it.

"Okay, so you got shocked. Big deal. It was ONE date."
"One date? ONLY one date?"
Two days ago...
"Oh, my tree, we're gonna die, we're gonna die, we're gonna die..."
"Woody, calm down! I'm sure they'll get the Ferris wheel up and running soon."
"But we're stuck at the top! And why did you have to get a glass floor cab?!"
"Woody, we're not gonna fall. Watch." She stomped on the glass.
——————————
"Glass floors are fine, you said! Completely shatterproof, you said! Not gonna fall, you said!"
"Woody..."
"My shoulders still hurt from hanging onto the seat for two hours! FIVE HUNDRED FEET IN THE AIR!"
"Woody, quit exaggerating. You're fine. It was just a coincidence."
"JUST a coincidence?"
Yesterday...
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
"Haha! Isn't this fun?" Teardrop smiled and laughed silently.
"NO! MOTHER OF—THIS IS NOT FUN AT ALL!"
"Come on, Woody! When will you ever get the chance to skydive again?"
"Hopefully NEVER!"
"Oh, quit it, Woody. You're fine. Now just enjoy yourself! Look, we're approaching the ground!"
"Oh, good. Now I can pull my chute." He sighed in relief and pulled on the string, to no avail. He pulled again. And again. "Oh, sheets of paper, oh, sheets of paper! I'M GONNA DIE!"
