Mr. Randle's Class (2nd period)
(Trey sits across the room from Lisa, staring at her while she does her work)
Trey: ...
(Carmen sits next to Trey)
Carmen: So... You gonna go over there or just keep staring from afar like a creep?
(Reese sits next to Lisa)
Carmen: Ha! Too late. Reese already beat you to it.
Trey: Man, can she at least settle in?
[That's Reese. He's most likely around the same age as Benji. No female can come into the school without a horde of boys coming for her. Being as pretty as she is, I'm sure a third of the boys will try to secure a spot with her. That's assuming she wasn't completely sworn in her first period.]
Reese: Hey!
Lisa: Uh, hey.
Trey: (Please don't show him the time of day!)
(Lisa puts her pencil down and sits back)
Reese: So...
(Reese looks at Lisa's worksheet)
Reese: Lisa Webb, huh? I think ur' the prettiest girl in here.
Trey: (Not this cliché bullshit!)
(The school bell rings)
Trey: Thank the gods!
Lisa: Heh, thank you.
(Reese and Lisa smile at each other)
(Carmen pats Trey on the back)
Carmen: Yeah, tough break!
(Carmen turns her worksheet in and leaves the classroom)
Trey: *Sigh* That's tough!
(Lisa and Reese turn in their worksheets)
Mr. Randle: Reese, why is your worksheet completely blank?
(Lisa leaves the class as Reese follows behind her, ignoring Mr. Randle)
Mr. Randle: *Sigh*
(Trey turns in his worksheet and begins to walk towards the door)
Mr. Randle: Trevon, could you stay back for a sec?
Trey: ...
(Trey approaches Mr. Randle)
Mr. Randle: ...
Trey: I know, but that wasn't my fault. I was just trying to —
Mr. Randle: It's okay. I know these students can be irrational. Very, very irrational. I know you and few other students can be... Well... Normal people. I just want you to try your best to put aside the petty disputes to graduate and be on with this school. Are you still writing your books?
Trey: Y - Yeah.
Mr. Randle: So, what's going on in the story currently? What was the book called again?
Trey: Um... It's "The Wind Twin".
