“Happy Birthday, Miss.”

Vance accustomed to my eyes when I entered his room. He is comfortably seated on the couch, his posture relaxed as he leans back slightly. His glasses rest gently on the bridge of his sharp nose, allowing him to peer through the lenses with a focused expression. His hands rest on the armrests, occasionally adjusting the position of the glasses to maintain a clear view of the book in front of him.

“Sit here,” he said, tapping the space beside him.

As soon as I sat beside him, I had a clear view on the tattoo on his arm. A majestic pair of brown eyes, its gazing into the distance.

Dmn. This is the first time I saw this tattoo clearly. He never allowed someone to see his tattoo, he’s always wearing long sleeves to cover it. But now, he’s wearing a plain white shirt, fitting him perfectly.

“What? Mesmerized?” he let out a little laugh.

Napaiwas akong tingin. Whew.

This is not the first time I entered his room, but whenever I am here, I still can’t used to being here. Even the boys here don’t dare to go inside.

“Aya,” his soft baritone voice called me.

“Oh?” pagbaling kong tingin sa kanya. Agad din ako nag-iwas ng tingin nang mapansin ang munting pagngisi niya.

He let out a little laugh again.

“Better.”

He gently combed my hair and put it on the other side to expose my neck. I heard his breathing in my neck as he pulled me closer to his chest.

“Much better.”

I almost caught my breath when he started planting small, gentle kisses there. He stopped midway when a knock interrupted, I heard his harsh breath and hissed before standing.

“Dmn whoever knocking.”

Pfft.

“What?”

“Uhm--, I just wanna ask kung nakita mo si Siraya? Wala kasi siya sa room niya.”

Oh? Is that Mark? Bakit ako hinahanap ng isang iyon? And how did he knew na wala ako sa kwarto ko?

“Knock again,” rinig kong sambit ni Vance, his voice is harsh, pfft.

“Wala siya. I opened it using this key.”

Uh? Gusto ko man makinig, but it’s no use, sound proof ang room ni Vance, ayoko namang lumabas.

I heave a deep breath. I leaned on the couch. It’s been five minutes passed pero hindi pa rin bumabalik si Vance.

Bored, I roam my eyes to wander. The ambiance and theme of his room looks calming. Minsan lang siya namamalagi rito sa room niya, mostly,  he’s outside on mission, or he’s in his own house.

Napaayos akong upo nang bumakas ang pinto after five more minutes.

“Dmn that Mark. He lays his hand on you!”

He let out a small grin. “His face is worst, Aya.”

My forehead creased. “What did you do again, Vance?”

“He’s invading what’s mine, I need to punish him.”

But before I could utter a words, his lips meets mine. I lost in the moment. The gentle kisses became harsh. His lips went down to my neck, next to my collarbone. He kisses me, his hand inside my shirt wandering, as if he’s lost, as if he’s longing to me. A moan escaped from my mouth.
