So I wanted to try something different for this chapter, I haven't really seen this done much in the stories that I've read so it might work or it might not. I feel it's important to be from this POV instead of the oc.

Also I'm so sorry with how long this chapter took, I've had really bad writters block and just couldn't find the flow. So if it's no good I'm sorry, I will go through this once the story is done and see if I can improve it.

Chapter 13

"Hello I'm looking for Anita" I tapped my finger on the wall as I listened to what the person on the phone had to say.

"Oh I didn't know, I'm sorry to hear that" keeping in touch wasn't something that vampires did. You only ever got in touch with one another if there was an issue and even then you didn't want to, it would show that you were weak and your territory could be taken. Before I could think anymore Thorn pulled me away from my thoughts, the sound of him whining grew louder meaning he was finally done outside and wanted to be let back in.

Smiling I went to the back door to let him only Thorn wasn't whining because he wanted to be let in, there at the bottom of the garden stood a figure not moving just watching the house. They had positioned themselves well that even with my heightened abilities I could not make out who it was.

"Go inside Thorn" I looked down at the dog who did as he was told.

"Can I help you?" I shouted to the end of the garden waiting for them to make their next move but nothing, they continued to stand there swaying with the trees.

Slowly I backed myself into the house making sure to not take my eyes off the figure, once inside I shut the door and locked it. Only I hadn't noticed the figure that now stood in my kitchen door until it was too late. With a swift whack I was out cold the sound of Thorns cries was all I could hear before I was out.

I don't know how long I had been out or who had knocked me out but one thing was for certain it was no human. The boys I had to warn them I was not about to see my family be torn apart.

"David! David!" I knew he could hear me. He was just choosing to ignore me like a child.

"David! You will stop ignoring me at once"

"What do you want?" he finally replied back, the sense of not caring in his voice.

"You boys are in danger, whoever was coming for Rose is here. They were in my house and knocked me out so keep an eye out, I'll try and let you know more information when I find out" I couldn't tell him anything more as the sound of footsteps approached.

"Get up we know you're awake" an unfamiliar gruff voice said. Opening my eyes I took in my surroundings, only I hadn't left my house. Instead I was tied to a chair in the middle of my front room where my coffee table once sat.

"So told your little band of boys what happened?" Another male voice sounded from my living room doorway.

There stood a young skinny looking vampire but I knew that looks could be deceiving. It's one of the reasons I was happy for Marko to join the family, most people underestimated the younger looking vampires and that was their greatest advantage. He had short black hair that was slicked back with some gel type product, his face was slim and his cheek bones highly defined. He wore a long sleeved black top with a black pair of jeans to match.

To my right over by the fireplace stood another man the owner of the gruff voice I assumed, unlike his friend he was blonde and well built. At first glance you might have mistaken him for a boxer or into that type of sport. With his cauliflower ears and nose that looked like it had taken a few beatings.

"That's none of your business"

"The old man can talk" smirked the one in the doorway flashing a look to the other vamp.

"So are you going to tell me what this is all about?" I asked, looking between the two men.

"Should we let him know?" Gruff said.

"I think he already knows but just wants to hear it aloud? Is that what you want?" he walked over so he was now inches from my face.

"There's two males at my house" I thought to the others.

"Of course he does," he stepped back clapping his hands.

"This has been a long time coming Max after what you and the others did. We've been watching you for a long time waiting for the right moment, then little Rose came along and pulled everything together" he smirked, taking a seat on the sofa that had been pushed back against the window.

"And what is it I did?" I needed to buy some time until the boys arrived.

"Don't play dumb with us old man!" the vampire on the sofa shot up from his spot on the sofa fangs on show as he spat the words at me.

I didn't need to say anything more. I could feel the boys were close which meant the fun was about to begin. A loud crash sound from outside sending Thorn who was chained up outside into a frenzy of barks, my boys were here.

"Go check what that sound was and shut that stupid dog up while you're out there" The slender vampire said to the bigger one, nodding he huffed past and made his way to the back door.

It wasn't long before the sound of screaming could be heard then silence filled the air once more.

"Who's out there" the vampire looked scared as he grabbed my shirt yanking the chair off the ground, it seemed like the perfect time to laugh at this vampire's misfortune.

"Look what we have here boys" David stood in the doorway lighting his cigarette with his bloody hand. The rest of the boys gathered in the hall as well as a familiar female vampire.

"So you gonna sit there all night pretending to be helpless or are you gonna get up?" David snickered at me.

"Now David there's no need to be so rude, I was hoping we'd be able to get some more information from these young men" I said as I snapped the rope from around my wrist before stepping away from the chair and dusting myself down.

It didn't take me long to have the younger vampire in my grasp revealing my own fangs and yellow cat like eyes. Poor fool he was younger then I was, he was younger then my boys I suspect, which leads me to think this was a warning. In one quick motion the vampire's head was now ripped from his shoulders, keeping hold of his head I let the body slump to the floor as I carried the head to the front door. There at the bottom of the path stood a young woman whose face was unfamiliar to me but not to one member of the group.

"Kim?" Rose let out barely audible but loud enough for us to hear.

"It's always a delight to see you, my little Rose" she said with a wicked smirk.
