I wake up when I smell something good. Nag inat ako ng braso pero nagtaka pa ako dahil may telang nakadagan sa katawan ko. I look at my wristwatch and it's already 12 noon.

Naupo ako sa couch habang kinukusot ang mga mata ko. I hold the blanket and stared at it for a while and I unconsciously smiled.

So kinumutan pala nya ako. So sweet of her.

I stand up on the couch and made my way at the kitchen. I saw her there , she's busy fixing the table to the point that she didn't notice me standing behind her back.

Watching her doing that kind of things melt my heart.

I never imagine myself being in a house with a woman but when it comes to Jo why does it feels like I wanted her to be with me and do this kind of thing everyday.

"Sabi ko gisingin mo ako"- I said at bahagya pa akong natawa ng makita kong bahagya syang nagulat.

She stand up straight and face me arching her eyebrow.

"You're already awake so what's the use of waking you up?"- she asked flatly.

Hmp! Pilosopo na nga masungit pa. Hindi ba sya na aattract sakin? Ako si Athena Cortez. Malakas epekto ko sa iba pero sa kanya parang wala.

"Gutom nako"- pag iba kona lang ng topic.

Tinuro naman nya ang bakanteng upuan at naupo na sya sa pwesto nya.

I sit down and look at the foods on the table.

"Thank you but I didn't know you can cook"

Sinalubong naman nya ang mga mata ko na nakatitig sa kanya.

"I'm alone for the past 7 years that's why I learned how to live alone and chase my dreams alone.."- mahina at mababang sabi nya kaya naman natahimik nalang ako.

Para kasing bigla syang naging malungkot.

Habang kumakain hindi ko maiwasan na hindi sya pagmasdan.

Like me she's also prim and proper. Bawat subo at galaw ng kamay nya sa mga untensils ay mahinhin at dahan dahan lang din ang pag nguya as if she's savouring the taste of every food she's eating.

There this sudden feeling of wanting to know her and her family background.

"You need something?"- she asked arching her eyebrow while sipping on her water.

"I hope you don't mind.."- I trailed off pero kumunot lang ang noo nya kaya napangiti ako ng bahagya. "Saan ka lumaki?"

She trace her long fingers that is exactly look like mine on the tip of the glass of water she's holding.

"In the province"- tipid nyang sagot

"Saan?, maganda ba dun?"

"Peaceful,quiet and full of happiness not until I lost the two most precious people in my life.."

Nakaramdam naman ako ng awa at konting hiya.

"I'm sorry.. wag kana magkwento"

I felt guilty. Dapat hindi nako nagtanong dahil halata naman na ayaw nyang magkwento.

Maya maya lang nakita kona ang pagliligpit nya ng pinagkainan nya.

"Are you done already?"

"Magliligpit ba ako kung hindi?"

I bit my inner cheek dahil sa katarayan nya. Tumalikod na sya at nagpunta sa sink.

Inubos kona ang pagkain ko bago tumayo at sumunod sa kanya.
