The next day after class Gracie and I agreed upon meeting at the building were stuff like the principals office are located. I'm really excited to finally be able to leave the campus for the first time since my arrival. I have no clue how Gracie convinced our house manager to let us go because the Principal clearly doesn't like me.

As I hear someone call my name I turn around to see Gracie walking towards me a woman and a boy following her. As they come closer I recognize the woman as a supervisor in our residential building. Surprisingly I also recognize the boy. It's William who I last saw in the lounge on Sunday.

"Hey Oli. Miss Henderson is driving us and he's our accompaniment today.", she points at William as we start walking after Miss Henderson who's heading towards a car.

"Nice to see you... again.", I give him a nice smile which he returns.

"Sure is."

"Oh you two know each other?", Gracie looks at both of us seeming slightly confused.

"We kinda run into each other a few times.", William states holding back laughter while we arrive at the car we're probably taking.

"What he said.", I also start laughing as we get in to the backseat. Gracie on my left and William on my right so I'm in the middle.

"Interesting...", Gracie gives me a "special" look and also starts laughing.

"So guys I'm driving you to the Bayside Marketplace and you'll have a little over an hour to get your stuff until I took care of everything I have to do and can pick you back up. William has a phone if you need to contact me.", Miss Henderson explains as she starts the car and drives out of the parking lot.

"Why does he have a phone and we don't?", I ask.

"First of all I don't think you need more than one phone but more important aren't you allowed to have one. Just be happy you're even allowed to go somewhere.", she shoots me a strict look and I shut up. She could still leave me on campus since we're just leaving school grounds.

No one said anything on our way towards downtown Miami because we were all probably thinking about things. Personally I was considering whether running away would be a good or a bad idea. I know for other people these thoughts might be stupid but my addiction was seeing a possibility to get drugs or whatever.

As we're close to our destination the traffic gets worse and worse so Miss Hendersons stops at the sidewalk to let us get out. Apparently both Gracie and William know how to get to the shops we need to go to.

As my feet touch the sidewalk I feel something I haven't felt for so long... freedom. Endless possibilities or at least the chance to go wherever I want. Well not really because there are two people that are here with me and someone that will pick us up in an hour. Yeah I could get away but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

While William and Gracie are actually talking I stay quiet looking around. Miami is one of the first cities this larger I have ever seen. The buildings around us are all incredibly large so I have to put my head in my neck to be able to see the top. Hundreds of people are around us and I feel so small. Like I don't matter. There are so many humans on this planet why does one matter. Especially me.
