It's surreal to leave home once again in search of a new life, only this time I knew what I was searching for.

It's not easily to let go of your birth place and it's really not easy to leave your family behind, especially when they're the closest thing to your heart in that moment.

But we all need to leave our nest someday and when we do, it'll never be the same. The pressure of the outside world hits us and we panic, thankfully I had just the right people to keep me grounded.

It still didn't make leaving less emotional, sure I'd see my father every Friday but it would never be the same. I won't see his face everyday, I won't be working on the important of new demons, I'll just be my own self. An independent woman (that has her father's company) that's just casually the most powerful entity on earth and hell. Oh how fun it is to be me.

"Do you think the two of us can actually handle a company?" Maddy chuckled

"Y'all are gonna run that shit down into the ground" Dani laughed

"Like what you're gonna do with your vampire colony" I glared at her

"Don't you disrespect my bloodline, demon"

"You're gonna make vampires go extinct"

"And you're gonna bring hell on earth"

"That would actually be kinda nice" Lex laughed

"Then God is gonna come down to earth and I'll have to fight him next" I said

"Is this foreshadowing?" Dani asked

"It can't be. The book just started, foreshadowing now would be ridiculous" I stated

"Anyways, is everyone packed and ready?" Maddy asked

"Yep, I even have my lucky charm-"

"Aww don't make me blush" Dani smiled

"Not you bitch. I'm talking about my lucky bear" I smiled, Dani rolled her eyes

"Your lucky what?" Lex laughed

"I've always had it as a child, unfortunately I accidentally left him behind"

"Your teddy bear?" Maddy asked

"She's had this thing since the day she was born. She sleeps with it every night, I'm pretty sure she's had sex with it-"

"Hey! Don't use that kinda language around Beary" I pouted, my hands gripped the stuffed animal's ear

"You really are a switch" Dani laughed

"No one can top me" she stated

"I'm a sucker for Johnny Depp" a voice rang through the living area

"What? The man is a goddess. He can top me anytime-"

"Come on, let's go" I chuckled, my hand pressed against his shoulder as we walked towards the castle door
