Potions class was held in the dungeons, and the subject was taught by the one and only Horace Slughorn. If second year Ron had not claimed the title of Captain of The Slugs, this professor would- figuratively of course. Merlin forbade it if t'wasn't.
"As your very first potions class in your NEWTs year, I would like all of you to brew the Draught of Peace. Can anyone tell me what its effects are?"
A few hands were raised, including those of Tom and Hermione's.
"Tom, m'boy!" Hermione scowled, not at all used to the competition.
"The Draught of Peace is a potion which relieves anxiety and agitation. Adding more ingredients than necessary when brewed may result in side-effects of being a long or irreversible sleep."
"Ten points to Slytherin! Now, off you go. I shall award the best brewer 50 points."
