Footsteps echoed through the pitch black hall, cutting the silence violently and every step pierced the air. They came to a stop in front of a male sitting in a black throne, his head was hung low and his legs and hands were tightly held by long chains.

He was in the center of a dark room, lightly illuminated above, although very dim, he was shirtless, tattoos and bruises all over his upper body, the chains rattled and shook as the male attempted and failed to release himself. His hands clenched and released, and his muscles bulged as he kept trying to free himself.

The male in front of him chuckled, " it seems we've found our mate Jeongguk."

"My mate," the other responded, as he looked up, his eyes turned red. " He's my mate how fucking dare you—"

"Now, now, Jeonggukie, you don't want to make me mad and hurt him now do you?"

The chained male remained silent. The other laughed.

" I felt your emotions surface when he was in Parks arms, but don't you see? You're weak, just like that pathetic omega."

Jeongguk snarled at the words, the other glared.

"Hmm, he seems to be getting close to that Jimin boy, he'll probably prefer mating with him."

Jeongguks heart dropped, he knew, he was there, not entirely physically, but he saw how his mates eyes went from happiness to fear in a split second. But he couldn't do anything, it was as if he was looking through One-way glass and nobody could hear his desperate shouts. The thought of his mate going to another alpha for comfort boiled his blood but he was helpless, his other self had control over his mind and body, he was a prisoner in his own mind.

" I was thinking about rejecting him right then and there—," the other man said.

" I swear to fuck JK—"

" —but It would hurt me so I didn't risk it. Seeing his pain was absolutely satisfying... but seeing yours gives me absolute pleasure."

JK chuckled darkly, " let's see how long it is before your precious whore rejects you and leaves you for your best friend, that would be a pleasant sight."

Jeongguk began to thrash in his seat, growling loudly and snarling, his eyes red and murderous as he stared at his other self.

"Oh? How scary, Im absolutely terrified," JK said sarcastically. " Why do you still want him? Hes tainted, has a child with another alpha, and will do it with Park."

And with that JK walked back into the darkness, letting it devour Jeongguk, then his mind went blank.

It was all in his head after all.

When Taehyung and Jimin reached the car, Jimin offered to drive to their pack, since he knew a road that headed that way, Taehyung agreed but was nervous to say the least, his old pack wasn't so nice to him, the Alphas always tried to touch him in unpleasant ways or made him feel uncomfortable with their lusty eyes. He also couldn't shake off the moments in the forest with his mate, and it instantly made his mood plummet, surely he was going to be rejected, he wouldn't be able to stay there and he'd go back to the road with Hyunjin, which at the moment was fussy, he was hungry, Taehyung felt guilty because it had been over two hours since he last ate.
