Faint footsteps could be heard behind them and Clay turns around anxiously wanting to see the source of the noise. However there was nothing but a fading shadow. Both of them held their breaths and slowly walked in that direction.
They paused when they saw a dark silhouette in front of them. The figure almost immediately vanished at their sight however it was visible for long enough to see that the figure wasn't human, it had long slender arms and bright amethist purple eyes, it seemed familiar. They tried running in the opposite direction and after non-stop running for 10 mins, staying very near each other, you were able to see the forest coming to an end.
Once they got out they saw a few streets and all of them were empty. Something didn't feel right.
They stayed as close to each other because it was very obvious that the world seemed different. Mabie they even entered a different universe...
After 5 mins of effortless wandering George finally started recognising the streets because Clay was new there. All the houses looked abandoned and the same question appeared in both of the boys heads.
What happened in that forest?...
