Meek POV

I woke up early today I wanted to do something special for Nicki since I couldn't cook I ordered breakfast from KFC I wanted her to relax just for a bit she has done a lot for me and I think it's fair for me to give her a day off 

I have been going to my physio sessions with Nicki and doing some exercise Nicki encourages me and I've been listening to her and the doctor

I'm back to using my cane again but whenever I feel like my legs are about to give in I sit down and use my wheelchair I sat down in the living room waiting for the delivery man to deliver our breakfast

As I was waiting for breakfast to arrive she woke up and came to me sat on my lap she hugged me and laid her head on my shoulder

"You tired?" I asked

"Yeah" she said

"Then why did you wake up?" I asked

"I have to make breakfast for you" she said

"You don't have to worry I ordered breakfast today" I said

"Thank you baby" she mumbled

She put her arms around my neck and laid there for a while

The food arrived and we had breakfast

"So were you able to finish that tutorial?" I asked

"Yeah I was able to finish the tutorial and mastered it, I hope Nicole will let me try it on her" she said

"So you going to your client first or Nicole first?" I asked

"Nicole first but if you want me to invite her over she won't mind"

"Nah it's cool, you can go and gossip with your friend I have a case that I'm helping out on" I said

"Okay detective bae" she said smiling

I tried to act cool but I ended up smiling

"You're beautiful Meek I thought maybe it was the love potion but you are very beautiful especially when you're smiling" she said

"It's nothing really I mean God knew what he was doing when he created me" I said low-key bragging

"Never mind, I take that back" she said

"I mean you're not that bad but we both know who God favours the most" I said

She giggled then rolled her eyes

The social worker came to do a report about the type of environment we live in and all of that nonsense I have done my research about the her and if she tries anything to delay the process of adoption I'm going to expose her I hate threatening people but Nicki has been having sleepless nights and she always tells me how badly the children are treated there and I hate seeing her like this

She deserves to be happy and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that my wife is the happiest woman on Earth

"So when can they come and visit us?" I asked

"As soon as I file this report and the judge approves" she said

"Okay" I said

"Where is your girlfriend?" She asked

"She is my wife" I said

"I'm sorry Sir, where is Mrs Williams?" She asked

"She went to her client" I said

"So how do you manage when she's not around?"

"I'm not a baby I know how to take care of myself" I said
