Chapter Six

Margo's Pov
After the once very strange day at lunch, I found myself finding the urge to be around Edward a little more profound then I was hoping for. I didn't know what it was but the way he stared at me, or how he would crack a smile around me.

I sometimes would on purpose touch Edward just so he couldn't read my thoughts but just so I could do the same. With many months came a lot of practice of the new surge of power so my nose bleeds weren't frequent but happened, and I could hold it a little longer.

I sat at the little examination table while Carlisle completed an exam after school "Well Margo, I've heard from everyone you've improved a lot which is good to hear." He flashed me a smile moving the light away from my eyes.

"She's gotten a lot better it's really impressive." I waved Edward off with a bashful hand wave seeing him staring at me from across the room. "I'm glad you are improving and not being so fearful of it." I smiled a little at Carlisle slowly still biting at my nails before to my very surprise someone's thoughts were hitting my mind across the room.

'Even though she almost kills me every time she drives my car.'

Instantly mine and Edward's head shot up staring at one another with wide eyes. "Wait Margo did you just read my thoughts without touching me?" He quickly stammered out.

"I-I think I did. " I squeaked out in shock. I glanced back at Carlisle to see him looking at me and Edward in disbelief.  "That's impossible." He quickly stated. "Carlisle I swear she just read my thoughts from all the way over there." I touched my nose just to see if there was any blood and to my very surprise none.

I looked back up between them "Come on let's go downstairs." Edward was by my side in an instant grabbing my hand gently pulling me downstairs with me following after him. Looks like things just took yet another turn.

"So are we confirming that Margo not only can absorb other powers but use them at free will?" Rosalie was looking at me quite impressed, leaving me to pace back and forth playing with my fingers grumbling out.

"Seems like you're a little badass human Margo." Emmett laughed out getting smacked in the head in response. "But I don't see Margo becoming a vampire in the future like she's in our future because she's Edward's mate." A sudden silence fell over, you could hear a pin dropped. Edward was looking at Alice in disbelief.

"Oops did I say that out loud." She squeaked biting at her finger. Jasper had a small blank expression but a small left hum. "Margo sit down your pacing is making me dizzy." I quickly halted for a minute.

"Wait what did Alice mean when she said I was Edward's mate." I quickly exclaimed pointing a finger at them all. Once again everyone grew silent till Esme nudged Edward hard making him wince.

"Well, how do I explain it... I didn't even know Alice why hide this when me and Bella started dating." Edward quickly demanded running his hands through his hair.

"Cause Bella is your blood singer, not your mate, she's in your future but not a lot. I thought you knew this, a mate is different from a blood singer." Alice shot back " I know that!" Edward exclaimed.

"Okay okay! We need to stop overwhelming Margo, let's leave Edward and her to talk." Esme ordered everyone. It seemed like no one wanted to leave until Esme shot them all glares before they were heading to different areas, her and Carlisle as well. I felt like my heart was hammering away.

"Here come sit it's okay." He flashed me a warm smile holding his hand out for me. I made my way over to him taking his hand sitting down next to him feeling he was still holding my hand close

"So... A mate?" I whispered keeping my eyes on his, he kept his eyes trained on the floor. "A mate is a lot stronger than a blood singer, a mate is for life and forevermore, a blood singer can change in a day, which I feel slowly happening with Bella. Mates are connected, even though it usually only happens between vampires, blood singer is between humans and vampires which those relationships rarely happen." I kept listening to him closely taking in all this information.

"Everything is so confusing now, you are an extraordinary human and if the Volturi found out about you, you would be in so much danger Margo I can't let that happen to you." I held Edward's hand tightly.

I pushed the name back into my mind "Edward nothing is gonna happen to me right now, all that matters is we figure out what's happening in this very moment, if I am your mate, we can figure this out together alright." I whispered to him squeezing his eyes tightly.

I felt his eyes on me before he leaned his head to rest on mine holding me close to him which I slowly returned holding his hand closer to my own. The more I try and stay away from you Edward Cullen. I know it's not good for me, the more I get sucked into your world of supernatural.
