Part 19

Tessa's POV

It's been 2 years since I came back. Me and Hardin have been dating for a year. We wanted to wait  before getting back together to give each other time to heal and prepare for a relationship again. We moved back into our old house and have remained living together since I got back. I have been going through old photo books from when the twins were younger. The twins are 3 turning four in about 4 months. They are getting old so fast. It makes me sad because I wish I would have been here for them. I shouldn't have left, nobody benefited anything from me leaving. I open a photo book and see a picture taken the day me and Hardin got married. We Eloped because we were young and didn't think about a big wedding we just knew we wanted to be together. We had always said we were going to have a big wedding but around the time we were going to get married i left. I close the photo book and walk downstairs. I see Hardin cutting up a banana. I walk up behind him and wrap my arms around him. He turns around and kisses me passionately. He pulls away and walk over to Joseph and gives him the banana. I smile but I notice I didn't see Brooklyn

"Hey where's bean?" He smiles

"She's taking a nap she said she didn't feel good so I gave her some children's Tylenol and tucked her in." I frown and go to check on her.

I notice she's sitting in her bed crying. I walk  over to her and grab her and pull her close to my chest. She quickly stopped crying and exhales

"Mommy?" I smile

"Yes baby?"

"I love you" I smile and kiss her forehead

"I love you too baby" I carry her into the living room and seat her down next to Joseph. I walk over to Hardin and kiss him.

"What did I do to deserve that?" He smirks.

"Well let's see. U love me, u treat me like a princess, and Gave me my babies." He wraps his arms around me and spins me around.

"I love you so much Tessa" I smile.

"I love you too."

"Tessa I have to run an errand." I look at him confused.

"It'll be quick I promise love" He smiles as he runs his thumb over my cheek.

He kisses the twins goodbye and grabs his keys.

"I'll be back Tessa I love you!" He shouts as he walks out the door.

I walk over to the couch and sit with the twins.

Hardin's POV

I close the door behind me as I walk out. Today is the day I get Tessa her engagement ring. She's never had one. When we were married we didn't get rings. And we didn't have a real wedding. This time it's going to be different. I want Tessa to have the wedding of here dreams. She never asks for anything. She is the most perfect woman and I want to give her everything. Which is why I'm getting Tessa the ring of she's always wanted. I arrive at the jeweler, I walk over to the front desk and greet the woman there.

"Hi I'm here to pick up an engagement ring. I spoke with a man yesterday." She smiles

"Yes follow me" She guides me to the back and hands me a velvet box. I open the box and see the ring.

"Thank you" I smile and pay for the ring.

I hand her cash and she looks at me with a shocked face. I'm guessing nobody comes in with 5k in cash? She hands me a receipt and I leave. I'm proposing to Tessa on Saturday. I put the box In my pocket and leave the jewelry store. I drive home and text Tessa to tell her I'm on the way home. I open the door and see Tessa dancing with Joseph.
