Delilah

It's been a week and I've been staying with the Cullens, they've agreed to take me in

They actually told me that they we're all adopted by Carlisle and Esme, they really are kind

"Bella?" I asked, out of all the Cullens
I've bonded with her more, she's like a sister to me

"Uh yeah?" she called out, "I'm going for a walk, wanna join me?" I asked her, "Sorry, I can't, I already have plans with renesmee"

I nodded, "Oh it's fine", "Be careful, and don't venture far, it's dangerous out there"

"Ok mom"I said sarcastically, she giggled

I walked out and placed my hands inside my coat's pockets

I came across a river, I was about to cross it but then I heard a rustling coming from the other side

Nope, not a chance

I just followed the river, and hummed a tune, then I heard rustling coming from my right

I turned to my right and waited for it, I got ready for whatever may pop out

Then a man came out, he was tall and skinny, his skin was as white as paper, but his eyes, they we're as red as blood

He came closer to me, I backed away "Stay back" I held my hand infront of me

"Don't worry, little bird, I'm harmless" As if to prove a point, he put his hands up

When he stepped closer to me, the moment his skin came in contact with the sunlight, his skin sparkled

I backed away, I slowly made my way over to the other side, once I was at the other side. I stopped and stared at him

There was only a river between us, "What are you?" I said, I wasn't scared, he sparkled and that wasn't normal

He wasn't human that's for sure, "I'll make this easy for you, just come with me" he said

I didn't waste a second and ran like my life depended on it, but he suddenly appeared infront of me, "You can't outrun me, little bird"

I ran the opposite way but he kept appearing infront of me, I kept running and running but he still catches up with me

He suddenly ran towards me, it was so fast I only saw a blur, but I held my hands infront of me out of instinct, I closed my eyes and waited

But nothing came, I opened them and saw he was thrown away a few yards
from where I was, he was slumped against a tree, the tree had a big dent on it

I ran the opposite way and hid behind a rock, I slowed my breathing and leaned against the rock

"Come out, little bird"he sang, he whistled the tune I hummed earlier, to taunt me

"I can smell you, I can hear you. Your heartbeat is like music to my ears" he mocked me

Then there was silence, I didn't hear him anymore, it was so silent I could hear my own heart

Then he suddenly jumped infront of me, I let out a startled scream, he laughed at me "I'm going to enjoy eating you"

He bared his sharp teeth at me, I backed away, but the rock prevented me from doing so, he came closer and closer until we we're face to face

He passed my face and went for my neck, I was frozen from fear, is this how I die?

Then a growl was heard, the guy turned his head to the sound, a large dog was there

I don't even think that's a dog, it was bigger than a bear, behind it was two more of them

"Wolves" the man infront of me snarled, he pulled away from me and slowly backed away

Then he got into a fighting position, the wolves then ran towards him, I was still frozen

"Come on Delilah, get up" I heard a voice say, I turned my head towards the voice and saw Bella

"Bella? Thank goodness your here"I sighed in relief, she helped me stand

I looked at the dog-like creatures and the man fighting, one of the creatures ripped off the man's arm

"Come on, we gotta get out of here"Bella pulled me away, we got back to the house

"I'm so sorry for letting you go alone" she apologized, Rosalie then walked out and saw me, her face softened

"Thank God, your alright, Alice saw you getting attacked"she said,"I'm fine, what we're those?"

Bella and Rosalie gave each other a look, "It's best if you come inside first" Rose said

I hesitantly nodded and followed them inside

When we we're all sitting down, Alice started "It's time you knew the truth"

"We weren't very honest with you"Bella said

"What do you mean?"I asked,"Have you seen anything out of the ordinary lately?" Edward asked

I slowly nodded and said "Yeah, your all very pale and cold and you all never eat around me"

"Well Delilah, that's because we're all" Emmett paused, "Vampires" they said at the same time

I was shocked, I took a moment to process everything "That man, was he one too?"

They nodded, "But he has red eyes, and you all don't"

"That's because of our diet, red-eyed vampires eat humans, the ones with golden eyes eat animals"Carlisle explained

"Are you scared?" Bella asked, she was worried, I could tell that from all the fidgeting

I shook my head, "You guys have been nice to me all week, I don't have a reason to fear you"

They all smiled, "Is there anything else I need to know?" I looked at them

"Well, since you know vampires exist now, you should know werewolves and witches exist too"Jasper stated

"Woah, so the ones that attacked the vampire we're werewolves?"I asked,"Not exactly, they're shapeshifters they transform into wolves"

I nodded, "Delilah, you should know that we would never hurt you, your part of the family now" Esme said

I nodded and smiled, "I know"

I walked to my room and sat on the bed, even though they revealed their secret to me, I couldn't help but feel there's more

But they would tell me when it's time, I trust them, they haven't given me a reason to not

Then I think back to what happened earlier, then I remembered that time when the man was thrown away from me

How was that possible? No one was around.....could that be my doing?

I looked down at my hands and decided I would ask Carlisle tomorrow
