Wings is the second Korean studio album (fourth overall) by South Korean band BTS. The album was released on October 10, 2016, by Big Hit Entertainment. It is available in four versions and contains sixteen tracks, with ERASER being a solo sung by BLUE. Heavily influenced by Hermann Hesse's coming of age novel, Demian, the concept album thematically deals with temptation and growth.

The song is filled with deep symbolism and can be taken many different ways which was intended by BLUE. The song mostly portrays her character in the WINGS series. Her character, who was born into a deeply broken and homophobic home, falls tragically in love with one of her best friends. She travels into deep hate and dangerously goes back and forth from the thin line of LOVE and HATE. Hate for herself, for being sinful and unright, and Love for her lover for being so perfect. Many speculated along with this meaning, it also had to do with the IDOL DATING CULTURE, where they know it's bad to be so love with each other and wanting to erase them, but you just can't because you love them.

BLUE states this song is one of her favorites out of the whole entire WINGS album.

It is followed by EGOIST from the LOVE YOURSELF:ANSWER album.

━━━━ MV:
The short film was released the last and was #8. IN the very beginning RM is heard reading an excerpt about SIN. The film had several cryptic shots of different scenes showing IMPURITY and INNOCENCE, with cult like ideology which signified BLUE's character's home life. The song can be heard lowly, underneath sound effects, such as footsteps and running water. As BLUE's character delves deeper and steeper into madness, she meets her LOVER and that's where the IMPURITY and INNOCENCE begin to meet together.

There is a cryptic shot where BLUE has blood on her hands, another shot where her forehead is kissed by her LOVER and the ending scene where she is surrounded by RED FEATHERS in an all white outfit. 

━━━━ AUDIENCE RECEPTION:
The song was widely accepted by CRITICS and said as one of BLUE's many good vocal excerpts. The short film has the highest views out of all the short films with 20 million views. While trolls tried to take the song out of CONTEXT stating that BLUE was hating against the LGBT+ community, BLUE had a vlive where she explained the song and her meaning behind writing it.

Instead of GLORIFYING homophobia like trolls thought, BLUE explained it showed the harmful things HOMOPHOBIA can do towards others and towards yourself. BLUE is active allie in the LGBT+ community and says her space is safe for all RACES, GENDERS and SEXUALITIES.
