"So they keep money out here?" Pope questioned as they drove towards the warehouse.

"That's what she said," JJ told Pope. He laughed realizing his unintentional joke. "That's what she said."

Pope rolled his eyes. "Stop."

"I've never even heard of Resurrection drive," Sarah said, turning around to look at everyone in the back seat.

"That's cause you're rich," JJ glared at her.

"I haven't heard of it," Gina said, waiting for him to challenge her about it. "And neither have you, so leave her alone."

"Thank you, Gina." The girls shared a smile.

Over that past few days she had started to think of Sarah as a friend, which made her feel protective of the blonde girl.

"There's nothing but weeds back here," Kie commented, while staring out the window.

"All right, just cause it's just weeds, doesn't mean it's like--" JJ started to say until he heard sirens whooping.

"Cops?" Kie questioned. "Out here?"

"God! Are you kidding me?" JJ asked, clearly frustrated that nothing could ever go their way.

"What did we even do?" Sarah asked, a confused look on her face.

"We didn't do anything," Gina muttered, still watching the cop car.

"So why are we getting pulled over?" John B asked as he stopped the van.

"Chill, guys," Kie reminded them.

"I hate cops," JJ muttered as he hid the gold.

"Did you bring the gun?" John B asked him.

"No, okay?" JJ replied. "Everybody told me to leave it back at the place.

"Thank god," Kie sighed.

They kept panicking and trying to hide anything that could be incriminating. It still bothered Gina, though. They hadn't done anything wrong -- John B wasn't speeding, JJ wasn't smoking weed for once -- so why were they getting pulled over?

She was too afraid to look, but whoever was there had a gun, and she was pretty sure it wasn't the cops. JJ took her hand and squeezed it. "It's gonna be okay, Gigi. I promise we're going to be fine."

"Why don't I go ahead and see them hand in the air, right now," the masked man with the gun said. "All y'all, hands up in the air right now! Get out of the car! Let's go! Let's get out the car, let's go!"

They all cautiously got out of the car. This wasn't the first time a gun had been pointed at her, but for some reason this time scared Gina more than the others. When her and her friends had been shot at on the boat, the guys had been far away, and JJ had been right there. When those same men had broken into John B's house there had been walls in between them and a window to escape from. When Mrs. Crain had been shooting at them, she had been blind and had terrible aim. But this time, the guy was right up in their faces and angry as all hell. If they made one wrong move he wouldn't hesitate to shoot.

"We're broke," JJ told him. If the guy did any digging in the car, he would find multiple pounds of gold and would probably shoot JJ for lying. Gina's heart was beating faster than it ever had.

"Shut the hell up!" he screamed, his gun pointed at JJ's chest.

"Alright! Just relax!" JJ yelled back. He had to calm down otherwise he was going to get himself killed. Gina cautiously put a hand on his shoulder, still keeping them where the man could see them.

"Hey! Keep your hands in the air, missy!" he yelled at her, pointing the gun in her face.

Her heartbeat quickened and she took her hands off JJ's shoulders. Gina had heard once that if you're being threatened with a gun to look into the gunman's eyes because it makes it emotionally harder for them to pull the trigger. She slowly backed away from JJ, but kept her eyes locked with the gunman's.

"Lay down in the ditch!" the gunman screamed. "Lay down in the ditch! On your goddamn hands and knees! Down! Put your face on the ground. Stay here, just like that! Keep your head down! Don't let me see you look up! That's all y'all gotta do." The man started rummaging through the van, looking for anything valuable. Little did he know he had hit the jackpot.

JJ slid his hand over Gina's. "We're gonna be okay, Regina, I promise. I love you so fucking much, okay?"

She looked at him out of the corner of her eye and tried to manage a smile. "I love you too, J."

"It was a set up, you guys," Kie muttered, realizing that the lady at the pawn shop had tipped this guy off about the gold.

"That old bat shanked us," JJ spat. "Fuck! Goddamn it!"

"JJ," Gina whispered. "You need to calm down or you're going to get us all killed. Please, just calm down."

"Wait, no no no," Sarah whispered.

Gina looked over to see John B getting up. She felt like she was going to throw up. John B and Gina had been best friends since they were little kids. He was practically her brother.

She was about to get up to follow him and make sure he didn't get himself killed when JJ pulled her back down. "I'm not letting both of you die," he whispered. She noticed the tears in his eyes and she realized how scared he was. JJ could act all tough and like he wasn't afraid of anything. But in this moment, he was just as scared as the rest of them.

The gunman crawled back out of the van. "Now y'all stay just like that unless you want your brains blown out all over this road. Don't move your goddamn heads, okay?" He walked back to his car where John B was hiding.

Gina looked up to see her best friend and the man fighting over the gun. The Pogues jumped up and ran to help him. JJ punched the gunman, but the gunman punched him back a lot harder. Kie ran at him but he shoved her to the ground. John B hit him with the butt of the gun and the man crumpled to the floor. As the man was about to stand back up, Sarah and Gina hit him with the car door until he crumpled to the ground again.

"I got the gold!" Pope exclaimed as he ran to help Sarah and Gina beat him up.

John B pulled off his mask to reveal his face. "I know this piece of shit!" JJ exclaimed. "He's a basehead! He sells coke to my dad."

"Probably knows my brother," Sarah glared at the man.

"Hey, listen, I couldn't hurt and single one of y'all--" he started to say.

JJ roughly brought the butt of the gun down on Barry's head. John B and Gina held him back from beating the guy to death. She knew JJ didn't have it in him to really kill anyone, but this guy was part of the reason his dad was so fucked up, so of course he wanted to hurt him.

"C-come, Let's just get out of here," Gina stuttered as JJ reached down to take the man's wallet.

"We got one last stop," JJ said, looking at something he had found in the wallet. Gina had a really bad feeling about this.
