Chapter 12

Grace lays her head on mine and we're just laying down peacefully until I think about asking her something, something I've been wondering this whole time.
"Grace how did you become a vampire, what's your story"

"It's a pretty long story"

"Well we have all night, and I'm just curious to know. You don't really mention your past at all."

"Well okay, I guess it is very important for you to truely know who you're with. I used to be a witch, all my sisters were witches and I only had one brother that was a warlock. I had 11 siblings with another on the way, it was going to be a girl. We lived in a little village in France it was placid but a dangerous place for a witch. Witch craft was incorrectly correlated with dark magic and any witches spotted were to be reported or killed on sight. We lived freely but cautiously, one wrong mistake could get us all slaughtered." My eyes widen

"Wow, that's really harsh and scary. I wouldn't even want to raise a child in that environment, especially if they're basically being hunted " I reply

"Oh I'm only getting started. So even though we could learn tons of spells each of my sisters and I had a favorite power, my sister Sage loved to expel a green smoke knocking out an enemy long enough for her to escape entirely. My sister Judas loved releasing a red smoke making herself disappear completely along with any trace of her. Mila was the peaceful one, she'd only use healing powers and nothing else. Last but certainly not least would be Amina, she could induce sleep, she usually would do this when my brothers and sister Judas would have restless nights due to being traumatized by war and witch slaughterings.

Our witch coven had a leader named Angel, she was best friends with my mother and had an infinite amount of power, no one truly knows when she came to be and no one knows when she'll die. She's immortal and was among the witches who created the first vampire way before my time. It was she that sensed that we'd been caught and she was right.

My father and mother loved each and everyone of us dearly and fought to the death to protect us. We all split up and ran off before the hunters could get to us, I was hiding not long before Angel could find me. She had a protection spell over each and everyone of us which is how she sensed me. She casted the immortal spell on me, I became a vampire and I never seen any of my siblings ever again."

"I'm so sorry,I know that was hard for you. If I knew better I wouldn't have asked you to relive that again." I say comforting her

"It's okay, I needed to let that all out and we have to leave out for a bit, you should lock your door so they don't come in to see that you're gone."

"Leave out to go where?"

"Alice wants us to come to the house, both of us, she didn't tell me why."

"Okay let's go" I say putting on my coat

Grace grabs me and we speed out of the window with me holding on tightly, I'll never get used to this.

We walk in to see the all of the Cullens standing around Bella and we join them.

"You all know what I want, and I know how much I'm asking for. The only thing I can think of to be fair is to just vote" Bella says speaking to all of us

"You don't know what you're talking about"
Edward chimes in

"Shut up" Bella says quietly in a shh manner. She then goes down the line asking for our votes.

"Alice?"

"I already consider you my sister, yes" Alice says going to embrace her

"Thank you"

"I vote yes, it would be nice to not wanna kill you all the time" Jasper says

Bella nods in response

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry to both of you for how I've acted, and I'm really grateful that you and Evan both were brave enough to save my brother and sister. But this isn't a life I would've chosen for myself, and I wish there had been someone to vote no for me, so no." Rosalie says to Bella

Emmett goes to hug Bella and picks her up
"I vote hell yeah, and we could pick a fight with these Volturi some other way"

Grace goes to embrace Bella and kisses her forehead as well
"You know remind me of my sister Mila, gentle but strong and beautiful on the in and outside. I would love to have anyone like that a part of the family so I vote yes, sister"

Bella smiles widely "thank you"

"I love you so much Bella, you're one of the best friends I've ever had which is why I can't let you do this. Once it's done it's done, there's no going back to human life, and I don't think this is truly what you want so I vote no." I say looking at Bella, she nods her head in response

"I already consider you a part of the family, yes" Esme says smiling

Carlisle sighs walking toward Edward, and Edward scoffs
"Why are you doing this to me, you know what this means."

"You've chosen not to live without her, which leaves me no choice, I won't lose my son" Carlisle says firmly.

So I guess that's it, Bella's going to become a vampire, I really hope it's in her best interest at heart. I don't want her to make a permanent decision based off of temporary feelings, the feeling of wanting to live forever.

If this is what she wants though, I will support her through what ever happens next.
