After helping Song Qi with some stuff, Ji Fan came back to his room. He took out his bag and started reading his book. He kept thinking about the meaning of those words while making circles around the words.
Suddenly, he felt that something was under his table. When he looked under the table, a dog jumped on him. Ji Fan fell backward.
"What is this thing doing here?"
The dog had red eyes and black strips over brown hairs. The dog started barking at Ji Fan. It jumped towards Ji Fan's grandfather book which he was holding and started biting it. Ji Fan tried to take the book back.
"No no bad dog. Give it back. It's something really important."
The dog was not leaving it. He was continuously making sounds as if he had caught its favorite food. While Ji Fan was trying to get his book back, Song Qi and the students came into his room due to his shouting. One of the girls looked at the dog and said,
"Strawberry! Leave it..."
The dog looked at the girl but still didn't let go of the book. The girl walked closer to the dog while saying,
"What happened, Strawberry? Are you not going to listen to me?"
The dog seemed to calm down for a while. But when she came closer to get the book, it started to bark. The girl got confused,
"Why is he reacting like this? He has never done this before."
Song Qi recognized the book.
'It's the book that he never let me to look at. It must be important. What should I do?'
Song Qi asked the girl,
"Is it a demon dog?"
The girl replied while looking at the dog,
"Yes. Strawberry listen, give it back..."
Song Qi thought of something and said,
"All we have to do is to give him something that he likes more. Then he will leave it."
The girl nodded,
"Oh! That's right. But I don't have it right now."
Ji Fan remembered something and went towards his bed. He took out a stem of the plant from his bag and throw it towards the demon dog. The demon dog first hesitated then immediately left the book, picked up the stem and started biting it. Ji Fan quickly picked up the book and checked it if was alright. The girl asked Ji Fan while petting the dog,
"What is this thing?"
Ji Fan replied proudly,
"It's a stem of the plant that you don't know about. The demon pets really like it."
The girl got curious.
"Why do you have it? And where did you get it from?"
Ji Fan hesitated,
"Well..this..."
Song Qi explained,
"He is a demon hunter so he knows very much about demons."
Song Qi asked while looking at Ji Fan,
"Am I right, Demon hunter?"
Ji Fan quickly replied,
"Yes, I am...haha."
The girl said while looking at the stem that was in strawberry's mouth,
"And where did you get this thing?"
