He stared outside the window while sitting on his bed. His face was just blank, as if he's paralyzed. His can't feel anything but gloominess.

Being in a hospital for three years with no one doesn't bother him anymore. He was long long time alone. He was used to this. Being alone.

He was a friendly and good man but that was before. He's not like that now, he changed. He don't talk to anyone now, afraid to make friends. He doesn't like going out to meet people, well, he's not allowed to go out tho.

Everything change when he was bring to this hospital and found out his sickness.

Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Everything changes in his life. He changes. His life that used to be so fun and magical turned into colorless, useless life. That's maybe the reason why he stop fighting for this desease.

He just wanted to die. Is that hard to give?

This life is useless-

"Knock. Knock."

He turned his head towards the door when he heard a feminine voice knocking. The door slowly opened and it reveal a girl around his age peaking. Once her eyes meet his, she smiled widely.

Creepy.

He just look at her blankly, confused and annoyed at the same time. Then the woman slowly got inside his room making him furrowed his eyebrows but he stayed silent. He look at her from head to toe. She's patient, he can tell as she was wearing a hospital gown and her hair was down and she also have this blinding smile.

Could this be his killer?

"The doctor is right! There is a handsome patient staying here." her voice echoed on the room as she got closer to him. He remained unfazed but deep inside he was in awe.

"Oh, I haven't introduce myself..." she chuckle awkwardly and scratch the back of her neck.

"I'm Jennie Kim, the patient next door." she raised her hand for a handshake but he just stared at her hand then to her. She retreat her hands awkwardly when he didn't move.

"I see, you're still shy and awkward around me but that's okay! We will be friends." she glee and smile again.

He thought that she will leave now but she just sat on his bed while looking at him as if studying him. "Why aren't you speaking?"

She asked him but he just rolled his eyes not wanting to deal with this annoying girl. Who the hell let this girl in?

When she receive no reply, a lightbulb suddenly light on her head and she gasp making the guy turned to her confusedly.

"You're mute." she said as if she's very sure to what she just said, the guy got annoyed at her even more. Did she called him mute just because he didn't talk to her? Unpredictable.

"It's okay! That won't be a barrier for us to be friends? I'll accept you for who you are, mute." she genuinely said with her head nodding.

He may say that she look cute but she's so weird and creepy. Barging onto his door just to say this things?

"I'm not mute." He told her, his voice raspy as he wasn't able to talk for the past few days. Jennie's eyes started to widened.

"You can speak! I thought you can't!" she laugh loudly as she slap lightly his arms making him frown. They're not even close.

"Can't you leave already?" he spat rudely but the girl just shake her head.

"What's your name?" she asked as she moved closer to him making him push himself away.
