I've been thinking about doing this countdown challenge since May and I almost didn't do it because I really doubt that I can sustain it. But here I am pushing myself once again. So here goes nothing. Sixteen single chapters. One for each day until July 16. I hope you like this too. 💚😊🙏🏼

R: *eyerolls* Haha Nicomaine. Very funny. Pero naman kasi Love seryoso ako! Are you okay? Patchy pie called me! Mag ER ka na kaya? She sent me the video. Ilang beses ko na kasing sinabing wag kang mag slide dun! Di ka pa nadala kay Kuya Wally nung nadulas dun, ginaya mo pa talaga! At sinadya mo pa talaga na wala ako dyan! Kasi you know I won't see and I can't stop you. Bakit ang tigas ng ulo kasi?!

M: *pouts* Nasaktan na nga papagalitan pa.. It hurts you know.

R: *takes a deep breath* I'm sorry Love, I'm sorry.. kasi naman, why can't you do as you're told? Alam mong ayaw na ayaw kong nasasaktan ka. Tapos wala ako diyan. Do you know how scared I got when Ate Pat called me to say you got hurt? I thoughtof the worst!

M: O kalma na.. Si Ate Pat sumbungera kasi. I would have told you later when I see you.

R: Patchy know she has to tell me or else. She knows how much I worry for your safety when you're not with me.

M: *laughs* Yung laki nun ni Ate Pat takot yun sayo?

R: Ate Patchy just knows what to do. Love, switch to facetime and show me.

R: Sabi mo masakit, tapos ngayon galos lang. Ano ba talaga?

M: Gasgas nga lang. Okay lang to. And I'm sorry too for making you worry.

R: Let's get you to the ER Love, get that checked. Baka need mo ng anti-tetanus shots, pa xray na din. Give the phone to Pat, papadala na kita sa hospital and I'll meet you there.

M: Tetanus agad agad? Di naman ako nakagat ng aso. Besides we can't do that.

R: Why not?

M: Why not? Because we're in the middle of taping that's why! We're in the middle of BJ pa, nag 10 minutes break lang, and you're right in the middle of a commercial shoot!

R: I don't care! It's you I'm worried about!

M: Love, calm down please. I am fine. I am okay. Mamya mag tiktok pa ko, I'll ask them to video it for you so you'll see that I'm fine. Gasgas lang to. May band aid na. I'll live.

R: *sighs* You worry me too much. Bakit kasi naman di pa iniba ng araw to eh. Pwede naman bukas. Wala ng EB naka taped na, pwede pa kita isama dito.

M: Matagal ng naka schedule yan Love, wag ng mag reklamo.

R: Eh kasi naman eh!

M: Love, dearest, my heart, baby.. I'm fine. Sige na break's done. I need to go back.

R: Sure ka you won't need to go to the hospital?

M: Sure na sure na sure. Saka wag na may mga covid cases sa mga hospitals, I'd rather not go unless it's absolutely necessary. Nothing broken I promise.

R: Okay.. fine. Mag iingat please! Update me of your status every thirty minutes, if thirty minutes passes with no text or call I swear I will come and get you myself, commercial be damned! You know I will do that Nicomaine. Otherwise, I'll see you when I get home. I love you.. please take care, pakakasalan pa kita eh.

M: *smiles* I love you.. please be careful too. Text me pag pauwi ka na ha.

R: Yes Love, I will. Please please please take extra, extra care. I love very much.

M: Love you too..

~~Later After Midnight~~

R: *enters the darkened bedroom* Love? *sees M, her hand holding her cp, fast asleep* ay nakatulog na.

M: *turns to her side in her sleep, pulling her leg, wincing*

R: *sighs* Hindi daw masakit, eh ayan kahit tulog naka ngiwi. *gently sits beside the bed* Love? *gently caressing M's face and kissing her*

M: Hmm.. *opens her eyes* Hey, you're home.. did I fall asleep? Sorry I tried waiting for you, nakatulog na pala ko.

R: It's fine Love.. *gently removing the duvet to see her injured leg* Tsk! Look at that! Sabi mo gasgas lang?! Anlaki nyan! Love naman eh!

M: *pouts* Kanina mo pa ko pinapagalitan eh. Buti pa yung mga bata, papagalitan lang sandali tapos baby na ulit sila..

R: Asus nagpabebe ang baby ko. Hay.. what would I do with you Nicomaine.. *kisses the area around her bruised leg very gently* Wait lang, I got something for you. *stands up and gets something from his bag*

M: What's that?

R: *holds a tube of arnica cream* Bea gave me this. Sabi nya very good daw to sa mga pasa and she swears by it. She got it daw from Healthy Options. Bukas magpapabili tayo kay Mama Ten ng maraming ganito.

M: OMG! You told Bea Alonzo?? Why?!

R: Why ka diyan eh nataranta nga ako kanina. I asked them to stop immediately so I can call you kaagad.

M: Nakakahiya jusko!

R: Sabi ni Bea be careful daw. At pag naulit pa sabihin ko daw sayo itatali na kita sa bewang ko para lagi daw kitang mababantayan.

M: Love naman eh..

R: Napakalikot kasi.. *gently applies cream on her bruised leg then wraps it carefully with an ace bandage* Ayan, tomorrow I'll help you with your bath and with everything else. Hey nga pala, yung Sushi Bake na request mo andyan sa kitchen. Do you want it now?

M: Yay let's go! *attempts to stand up*

R: Oops, ako na. *lifts her in his arms*

M: Kaya ko naman maglakad eto naman.

R: No. andito na ko and I will take care of you like I always promise you. Kaya relax ka lang dyan. Akong bahala.

M: *smiles ang hugs R* You really love me..

R: *kisses M's forehead, cheeks, nose and whispers* More than you'll ever know.. *finally capturing her lips for a searing, toe-curling kiss*
