Richard's work day was almost done. One more stop and he's home scott-free. He was interrupted out of his musings by the slamming of a car door.

Thirdy: Hi Dad! *kissing R's cheek*

R: Hey son! *hugs Thirdy* How was school?

Thirdy: Same old, same old. Math problems to solve, lessons to learn..

R: Really now, at eight years old..
*chuckling at his son's 'wisdom'*

Thirdy: Let's go Dad.

R: Not yet, go sit in the back.

Thirdy: But Daaad..

R: Nope, you mother's gonna kill me if I let you sit infront.

Thirdy: But she's not here!

R: Your tone Richard the third.. and you know she will find out.

Thirdy: Daaad..

R: Thirdy.

Thirdy: *sighs* Okay.. *moves to the back seat*

R: C'mon son, you know the rules. Not til you're 10 at least.

Thirdy: I know, I'm sorry.. *hugs him from the back seat* Can we go to McDonald's? I'm hungry.

R: *chuckles* Hihirit pa talaga eh. Manang mana ka talaga sa Nanay mo. Ok fine. If Mom asks me why you didn't finish your dinner, I will put you in the line of fire. I'm not taking the bullet for this one.

Thirdy: *laughs* Thanks Dad, you're the best! *kisses R's cheek*

Maine: That's good. Why is that? What made you like today?

Celestine: Where are we going now?

Maine: Well, Daddy said to get a cake for you because you did good in school.

Celestine: *pouts* Where's Daddy? Why didn't he come?

Maine: Daddy's at work my love, he has a meeting he couldn't get out off but he promised that you'll spend tomorrow together di ba?

Celestine: I wanna show him my stars *shows her hands stamped with stars from kindergarten school*

Maine: I took pictures and I sent it to him earlier and when we get home you can show it to Daddy. Don't be sad na baby ha. We'll get a big cake and you can choose it. Okay?

Celestine: Okay.
