Talia's P.O.V.

"Why did you bring me to your house?"

I finally asked the question that had been consuming my mind for the five minutes we sat in silence. We were still sat in his truck, just staring at his house. I was nervous. Why? I was never nervous, but I didn't know why I was now, of all the times. I have always gotten myself in bad situations throughout my life, like the one time when I was ten and a boy tried to kiss me. He ended up with a broken nose and I got into so much trouble with my parents because I didn't handle the situation well.

"I figured we could hang out or something, I mean, if you don't want to then I understand," he looked nervous as he spoke.

Good thing I wasn't the only one.

"Alright. Lets go inside shall we?"

I opened the passenger door, and jumped out quickly, walking to the front door. I heard his truck open and his feet crunching against the gravel from behind me.

I waited for Asher to get up to the door with me, taking out keys and unlocking the front door to his castle home.

His home was beautiful, and a deep scent hit me as soon as I walked in. What was it? Cinnamon? Vanilla? It smelt so much like Asher...

"Your house is pretty," I commented, following him as he led me up some stairs.

"Thanks. My mom likes to keep things clean and stuff. She always has candles burning and those wax melting things on," he said sheepishly.

She sounded a lot like me. I liked my place to smell good. Especially because I was home alone most of the time.

"Are your parents home?" I asked as we got to a giant room with a big tv screen. Movie room?

"No. They have to work late tonight, but this is the game room."

Ah. So I was close.

"I've got a couple of scary movies if you'd like to pick one to watch, I'll go get some snacks," he said, smiling.

I nodded, and began looking through the movie rack. I picked out a couple of horror classics, making my way towards the couch. But something caught my eye.

Being the nosy girl I am, I walked over to a table of pictures and saw one with Asher and a girl. His arm was around her and they were laughing and I couldn't help but feel a little jealous of the girl who made him laugh like that. Girlfriend maybe, sister? Hmmm...

"That's Ashley. My sister."

I jumped about ten feet in the air, a girly scream escaping my mouth.

Looking over, while grasping my chest, Asher was chuckling to himself.

"That's not funny," I muttered, walking over to the couch.

"I'm laughing."

Glaring over at him, he began opening his mouth to speak, but my phone began vibrating, cutting him off. Sending him an apologetic look, I slid it open to answer without looking at the name.

"Hello?"

"Talia, I know your with Asher. But this isn't fair! You know my feelings for you and I make them known-"

"Seriously River? Can't we talk about this later? Asher and I are just hanging out as friends. There isn't anything wrong with that," I interrupted.

I heard him sigh on the other end.

"Yeah. How about tomorrow after school?"

"Yeah. Tomorrow is good."

I hung up the phone, and looked over at Asher. He looked seriously mad.
