11. Batman vs Superman

Gene Wahele's house, 11 am

Steve invited me to join them on the case again and I happily agreed. Whilst Steve was driving my car, I sent a text to Guy telling him that we needed to talk about things. Tani and Junior went to the scene of the crime whilst Jerry, Adam, Steve and I went to Gene Wahele's house aka 'The Night Sentinal' as he called himself in the video. Danny was waiting for us there when we arrived,

"Oh hi, I see Steve hasn't scared you away yet," Danny says to me as we walk up to him at the front of the house.

"It's going to take more than a blue-eyed giant to scare me," I chuckle looking back at Steve who was now behind us as we stop at the front door.

I ring the doorbell that was next to me and wait for anyone inside to answer. Then Danny knocked on the door, announcing that they were Five-0 but when there was no sign of movement we get our guns out, ready if someone was going to attack. Danny then turns, giving his back to the door and kicks his leg back with all his strength, breaking the door open. Steve was the first to walk in followed by me, then Danny, Adam and Jerry.

"Clear," Steve says as he glances around the living room which has been ransacked, meaning that someone got here before us and knew exactly what they were looking for

I open the toilet door, checking that no one was hiding inside and carry on to the kitchen, "Clear,"

We continue to move throughout the house checking every door and hiding spot until we were satisfied that no one else was in the house. We gather back into the living room where we found Jerry holding a comic book,

"Now's not the time to be catching up on comic book issues Jer," Adam says as he stands next to him, taking a look at what he was holding,

"Catch up? There's nothing out there that I haven't read," Jerry looks at Adam with a sense of pride laced in his voice, "Anyway, this is the first edition of the Martian Chronicles, it's very valuable but it hasn't been touched, alongside other valuable items- like stuff from the Ultraman series there,"

"Ultraman?!" Adam perks up at the name and takes a closer look at the stuff. I stifle a laugh at the grown man, looking at the items like a kid.

The 2 nerds start a lively conversation about whoever the superhero was and I walk past them, taking a look around the rest of the room. After successfully trying not to trip over the stuff that was thrown on the floor, I get to the desk that was in the corner. A bunch of wires lay across the table and I grab a pen out of the pen holder, taking a closer look at the wires without touching them with my hands,

"They took his laptop," I say as I stand upright, stepping back from the desk so the others could see what I was looking at, well what was left anyway.

"The Night Sentinal uploaded about 100 videos, no doubt there's more archived on his laptop," Jerry says.

"But why take it? I mean he's dead, it's not like the videos are going to be uploaded," I ask, confusion written on my face.

"Well,  Gene was known as The Night Sentinal and he has a lot of fans, this makes him a threat to other contenders like The Guardian," Jerry explains,

"The Guardian?" Danny looks amused

"Yeah, he's another 'vigilante' that records his arrests, but The Sentinal exposed him for staging the crimes,"

"That wouldn't have made him popular," I say raising my eyebrows

"Right, he lost hundreds of followers," he says
