We were playing with Sheru one day when Aina said, "Is it okay if I enroll into MBA courses?"

"Of course. I think it's a great move if you really intend to start a chain of cafes in the country." My wife was a very determined woman and I was sure that she could do anything if she put her mind to it.

She was silent for a while and the-n whispered, "Thank you." I turned to look at her and she kissed my nose saying, "Why do I feel like you are the solution to all my issues? I realized that I haven't had a single nightmare in the 3 months-marriage we have had. I think it's because you make me so happy."

No, Aina! As much as I want to take the credit for this, you are not having any nightmares because you are taking the correct medicines now. Your father had been changing your drugs and doses for several years to make you forget what you witnessed in your childhood.

Last week, Mir Farooq's second wife, Sahira, sent me photocopies of their wedding certificate and marriage registry documents along with photographs of their wedding day. Seeing the man smiling fondly at his newly wedded wife who was hardly 10 years older than his daughter, while making her believe he was still mourning her mother's loss, made me want to break various parts of his body.

The man was a beast. How does a father betray his own child? Thanks to my very impressive investigative team, I found out a few days back that Aina's grandfather made a will before he passed away. It said that his entire property belonged to his granddaughter; and his son Mir Farooq would take care of the business until Aina turned 18. The will also said that in the absence of Aina, the property would be handed over to the government for further actions. Unknown to my wife, her father had not only utilized her trust but also her medical condition & made her sign most of her inheritance over to him.

There had been times when I had wanted to forget what the man did, thinking how much it would affect Aina at the end. But the more I got to know about how he had betrayed my wife, his own daughter, the more I aggressive I became. I looked over to see Aina happily chatting with her father on the phone and it made my heart hurt.

How do I tell you that your father is a monster? Will you even believe me or the evidence? Why do I think that telling you his truth is going to take you away from me?
