KABANATA 18: CALL

I'VE BEEN repeatedly shaking my head, i feel like I'm going crazy! D*mn ayokong pangunahan sila about sa half sister ko kuno pero hindi ko maiwasan.

I am already in the coffee shop near my company building, waiting for my mom's arrival.

Minutes later i saw a woman on her white shirt, dark jeans, a bull cap and shade.

She entered and she looked for me inside the coffee and when she saw me she immediately walks to my table.

She greeted me but i didn't greeted her back, she looks confused.

"Tell me all of your secrets mom, i want to know the truth and why the hell do i have a half sister?" I said, ikinuyom ko ang kamao at pinigilan ang sariling magalit.

Nakita ko ang panlalaki ng mata nito, saka siya umupo sa upuan.

"Saan mo naman nalaman?"She asked.

"Kendall Mortell."ikling sagot ko.

"Kendall? No you must be mistaken, yes she's your sister but not by blood, i adopted her."She said.

Agad na nanlaki ang mata ko sa gulat.

What? She's not my half sister but my adopted sister? What the hell na guguluhan na ako!

"She's my friend's daughter, Bella Maurice." sabi niya.

"Pero ang sabi niya anak siya ni daddy sa ibang baba-" naputol ang sasabihin ko ng may nagsalita sa likod ko.

"I was just joking around, sineryoso mo naman!" Sabi nung babae kakarating lang.

"Well that is not a good joke!" I said.

"I'm sorry okay? I just wanna hang out with you napaka mainitin pala nang ulo mo." Sabi niya saka bumeso kay mom.

"Hi tita!" She greeted.

"Ken that's not a good joke."Mom said.

"I'm sorry tita, i just want to know how will she react if i lie."sabi niya.

"I'm sorry too, Avi about what i have said earlier kalimutan na natin yun, that's not even true."she said and smiled at me.

Para namang nawala ang nakadagan sa dibdib ko.

I didn't know mom adopted someone.

"When did you adopt her mom?" I asked.

"3 years ago, nung makarecover kami sa aksidente, tumawag si Bella sa akin at sinabing pinagbubuhatan daw sila ng kamay ng asawa niya that's why I decided to adopt her, don't worry mabait naman siya mahilig lang mangjoke, just don't take it seriously." Mahabang sabi ni mom.

Gosh! I really thought dad has a mistress! D*mn gusto ko siyang sakalin sa inis! Para pa akong tanga kanina nung sumigaw ako ng alis!

"Let me introduce myself again, I'm Kendall Gin Maurice, I'm 21 years old."sabi niya at inabot ang kamay.

"I'm Avianna Mortell."Sabi ko.

"I'm really sorry, what should i call you then? Ate?" She asked.

"Kung saan ka komportable."sabi ko.

"Ate, sige ate nalang."She said

"Mom, napagisip isip ko na po." Sabi ko.

"Ang alin?" She asked.

Nang order kami ng coffee at shortcake para may makain saka ako nagtanong uli.

"Why don't we have a public appearance, you know matagal tagal na rin po nung hindi kayo nagpapakita sa mga tao."sabi ko.
