Mjolnir's Strike is really weird.
Okay, I don't hate the mode, (because it's wonderful compared to Resonant Battles., Does anyone actually like Resonant Battles?) but I do want to rant about it today because it's got some flaws. Eh, anyway, here's what I find wrong with the different parts of Mjolnir's Strike!
1. Brace and Rest
NO ONE NEEDS THIS MUCH TIME TO MOVE SOME SPRITES AROUND! Seriously, brace takes like a billion years to get through. Can't we have like 1-2 days to get our crap together and then get to the fighting?
Although, the longer period means we get more time to make jokes about Thorr's commander, I guess.
Rest is fine, frankly it makes sense, I guess. Still takes a while
2. Shield
Frankly, I play this phase regularly on normal so I don't know how qualified I am to judge this, but I have tried advanced and it is almost as easy as it is on normal.
Here's my shield map
Great name I know.
Basically Edelgard destroys anything and everything and Julius cleans up who survived her rampage.
Again, not hard. Also, it gets repetitive very quickly.
It's not bad but it could be better.
3. Counter
This is the worst phase. You DO NOTHING EXCEPT HIT A BUTTON AND WATCH A CUTSCENE. Frankly, it's boring with little strategy, albeit seeing one of your heroes in a tank is lowkey hilarious
This is also the only instance of seeing a sprite Thorr which is cool.
4. Thorr's commander of the week
Thorr is a cool character and one who either needs an alt released or some more screen time.
That being said, can't she lead her own stupid army, instead of summoning some random hero every week?
Frankly some of her commanders make sense, like having Gharnef, Narcian, Aversa, and Michalis. And those are just a few examples.
But there was one week where the commander was male Kana.
