She dodged my comforting touch and took a step back. Her gaze kept on the ground, not shifting back to me as the words crossed her lips. "Elijah, you can't keep coming back here in hopes that the next time I'll leave with you. Don't you get it? I don't want to come with you, I don't want you!" she spoke harshly.
"Look me in the eyes and say that again," I ordered. She closed her eyes for a brief second, before raising them to me.
"I don't want you, Elijah. There are some things, you don't know and never will," she stated strongly. It hurt, the way her eyes pierced through mine, harsher and colder than the words she spoke. "I reject you as my mate, Eli-"
Stunned, I covered her lips with mine, before the name could slip and an action that can never be undone would be made.
