Ryujin's face scrunches as if she doesn't wanna hear any more of the bad news. I guess she did care about the key after all.
Byounggon:
Yeah, it's too bad...but it's also too soon to be disappointed. Come on, you guys! We can still keep trying!
He smiles and pats my shoulder. It's very comforting and encouraging. He doesn't lose his composure even in such a devastating situation. His kind words ensure that I don't lose my hope.
Me:
That's right.
I smile at Byounggon. He's completely right. There are still many places.

Seunghun:
Where haven't we tried yet?
Hyunsuk:
The teachers' lounge on the fifth floor.
Yonghee:
The library.
Yiren:
The storage room in the gym and the snack bar.
Hyunsuk:
Don't forget the broadcasting room!

Okay. So they're still four more places left...If the key still doesn't work on any of those, maybe I'll try the lockers in the hall. I mean it'd have to fit something in here. And if we get lucky, we might find the key to the library, and...
Me:

Suddenly, I'm reminded of what just happened in front of the library. It gives me goosebumps. Seunghun says there's nothing but I can't stop imagining the worst...That there might be someone else...I shiver at the thought of it.
Yonghee:
What's wrong? Are you okay?
Yonghee checks on me and others turn their heads to look.

Always gotta be the center of attention.
Someone at the back grunts but I try not to let it get to me.
Seunghun:
Just ignore her. She's still not over those books in the library.
Me:
No, it's really not like that!
Seunghun:
Oh yeah? What is it that's bothering you then?
Byounggon:
Did something happen while you guys were on patrol?
Me:
Uh...
I contemplate for few seconds, then I shake my head.
Me:
No, I think I'm just really tired. You know, with everything that's been going around here.
I make sure whoever grumbled at the back hears me.
Yonghee:
If you say so...
Byounggon:
Well, promise me you'll tell us if anything's up.
Me:
Okay, I promise.
That's when Hyunsuk raises his arm to get everyone's attention.
