All good things in life end at one point. So obviously after the pool round I spend a few more hours until lunch and then I left before dinner time, considering that the kids have been alone with irresponsible Kevin for more than a day and a night.

Who knows what could've happened in this time span and since I am always curious I have to check. So I had to leave but not for long since tomorrow I'm going to be back to work.

I arrive home and it is pretty dark outside already so maybe the children are safe and sleeping, maybe I have nothing to worry about, but after raising them for years your mother instincts come out and you can't help it.

I open the door and am greeted by sounds coming from the living room. There are not the usual sounds of chatting, screaming and television playing out loud but the sound of a game playing in the background.

I step further into the house and notice two people standing on the couch -Kevin and Forrest, two consoles in their hands while the TV screen shows a car race game.

Where did the Xbox come from?

They don't seem to notice me since they're deep into the race so I make my presence noticeable by sitting on the couch next to Forrest who seems extremely frustrated and blushed. That's when I look at the TV and realize that the red car on the last place is Forrest and the green one on the first place is Kevin who is now winning.

I try not to laugh at Forrest's pout as he realizes he's losing but I fail, earning a scowl from him.

"I can't believe you have this Xbox and all these games but you play like shit." Kevin smirks and bumps into Forrest's car, sending him off a cliff.

"Shut up." Forrest throws the console on the ground and crosses his arms over his chest like a child.

I kiss him on the cheek which brings his joy back and soon all three of us start playing different games since the children are deep in sleep from what Kevin told me. Apparently Forrest came over because he was bored and since Kevin was the only one asleep they started playing on the device Forrest brought from his apartment.

We start playing Just Dance for one hour until we're tired and out of breath. Forrest and Kevin fall asleep the second their butts touch the couch but I remain awake, unable to find sleep with everything that's going on in my head at this moment.

I don't want to start overthinking everything Anthony told me today so instead I look down at my brother and friend who are asleep beside me. Somehow they ended up cuddled together, Forrest snuggled into Kevin's chest. I smile. I'm not one to feel icky about my best friend and brother being close.

Unfortunately, as much as I stare at them and try to take my mind off things, I still go back to thinking about Anthony and the story he told me.

All this time I thought I went through so much but apparently my story doesn't even compare to his. If I feel weird about him killing someone? Not really. He had his reasons.

Speaking of Anthony, a knock comes from the door. I rub my tired eyes and tip toe all the way to the front door, opening it and revealing a tall figure standing in the door frame, a plastic bag in his hand.

I look at him confused of why he's here.

He holds up the bag with a goofy smile. "Forgot your uniform."

I sigh as I come to the realization that I left Anthony's house wearing his big shirt and some spare sweatpants that were left in my locker. After the morning round he offered me his shirt in which I stood in the whole day, nothing underneath. Right before leaving, I just slipped some pants on and left.
