**Fri**
As soon as I got home, I put away whatever groceries I wasn't gonna use and made Jordan and Cameron their coffee. The front door opened and they came barging in.
"Tay!" Jordan yelled. I heard the thud of their bags dropping to the floor. I rolled my eyes as their arms engulfed me in a group hug.
"Guys," I said, squirming. "I need to breathe, you assholes!" I laughed. Cameron grabbed his coffee and let me go, Jordan doing the same after him.
"What's for breakfast?" Jordan asked, sitting on the couch in the living room and propping his feet up on the coffee table. Cam instantly following suit.
I put some frozen waffles in the toaster and waited for them to pop out. Once they did, I put them on a plate and handed it to Jordan. "Eat up." I said, giving him my most sarcastic smile. I did the same to Cameron.
I served myself a bowl of Fruit Loops, which instantly reminded me of Jenna. I smiled to myself, looking down at my cereal. She was the first person to make me want to move on and I'd only just met her. Hell, for all I know, it could be the only time I see her.
I was pulled out of my reverie by Jordan poking my ribs, "That cereal is gonna go all mushy on you if you keep smiling at it like that." He laughed and went over to the sink to wash his dish. "Reminiscing?" He asked, looking back and smiling.
"No, I don't think you guys would believe me if I told you." I shrugged. I considered making up some lie now that I couldn't use reminiscing as an excuse. Quick, think!, I yelled at myself.
"Are you planning to steal someone's dog?" Cameron yelled from the couch.
"I decided that I've been ridiculous these past couple of months. It's better that Hayley broke it off when she did than have her lead me on and cheat on me or something." I revealed, releasing a deep breath. I ate a spoonful of my cereal to distract myself. Jordan was right, it was getting a bit soggy.
Jordan was looking at me, brows furrowed. He dried his hands with a hand towel and walked over to me, placing a hand on my forehead as if to check my temperature, "Do you feel okay?"
"I'm fine, jeez." I pulled my face away from his hand and finished off my cereal. I went over to the sink and washed my bowl, turning around to see Cameron popping more waffles into the toaster, "I'm gonna call her. Cameron, don't eat everything, please."
I walked to my room for some privacy, pulling my phone out of my pocket as I walked. I looked through my contacts for her name. I hadn't been able to bring myself to delete it. I dialed her number and waited, my heart beating its way out of my chest and my feet tapping uncontrollably.
"Hey, it's Hayley. I'm probably away from my phone for some reason so if you could leave a message, that'd be nice. I'll get back to you ASAP." Voicemail.
"Hayley, it's me, Tay." I began, fading out towards the end. "We should talk so.. Yeah, call me.. Or don't, I guess..." I was already regretting it once I'd finished.
