Chapter 2

Qua POV
It's has  been 2 months since Royalty's mom left her. I been doing good on raising her, but I been having a little help from Kierra on little stuff like hair. Because I really be messing my daughter hair up. I actually tried once but it look like a Raccoon attacked her head or something and Kierra thought that shit was funny. Me and Kierra finally together now. A month ago I surprised Kierra with a dinner and a night out to the movies, but of course with the help of my boys and sisters I couldn't have put it together so good if it wasn't for them. It was now going on 10am. I rolled over and seen that there was no Kierra. I sat up a min and seen there was a note under my phone. I unplugged my phone and put it on the bed and grabbed the letter and it read ......

Dear Baby,
I had to work this morning around 9:30am I didn't want to wake you up or anything so I wrote you this letter. I took some food out of the fridge so you could cook breakfast for you and royalty. When I get off today we need to go shopping for royalty's party tomorrow so don't forget about that. If you aren't going to cook anything just put the things back into the fridge. I love you and I'll see you when I get off.

I smiled at the letter that Kierra wrote. I forgot Kierra had to work. I got up and walked out my room to go check on royalty in her room. I walked down the hallway and heard royalty tv playing Doc McStuffins so I knew Royalty was up.

"Goodmorning babygirl " I said walking in her room
"Goodmorning daddy" Royalty said
"What you doing up this early? You're never up early" I said sitting on the bed next to her
"I heard Kierra get up so I wanted to tell her bye " Royalty said
"Kierra came in here and said bye? " I asked
"Yeah she did say bye she told me she loved me too" Royalty said

I ain't never really heard Kierra tell Royalty that she loved her because I was always sleep or never home or either in another room. But I'm glad Kierra telling her that she loved her it's good for Royalty to hear that since she doesn't hear it from her mother anymore. Leah left town the day after she dropped Royalty off. Word around the streets she was pregnant and the man that she was with didn't want her to have Royalty around. Leah ended up lying to me and telling me that wasn't the case. It's crazy to me. How could a pretty girl like Leah say she wanted a baby girl but ended up giving her up because he boyfriend didn't want her around. Leah definitely ain't a women to me. A women wouldn't have gave up her child.

"Daddy I'm hungry " Royalty said
"Okay mama. What you want?" I asked
"Daddy you know what I want, we go through this everytime" Royalty said laughing

For Royalty to only be 4yrs old going on 5 she smart.

"You know I forget sometimes" I said laughing
"I want McDonald's daddy" Royalty said laughing
"It's 10 in the morning you sure you want McDonald's? They serving breakfast right now " I said
"What time do they stop serving breakfast? " Royalty asked
"Around 11am" I said
"Well let's wait until 11" Royalty said
"Well how about why we wait we go take a bath and around that time it will be time to eat" I said
"Okay let's goooo" Royalty said pulling my arm

Kierra POV
I was at work working on a clients hair. I ain't to long just left my boyfriend and step daughter. Yeah that's right boyfriend.. I know what y'all thinking, you finally gave qua a chance? Yeah I did. Qua finally took me on a date a month ago. We went to the movies and out to eat. Trey and the others helped qua plan it. I was beyond grateful for them. I ended up having a good time and qua wanted things to be official. So that's what we did. I was now helping qua raise his 4yr old daughter Royalty. Royalty loved me to death. She would ask to sleep with qua and I every night just so she could stay up late and watch movies with me. I loved them both to death though. I had just finished up working on a clients box braids when Kehlani plopped down in the empty chair beside me.

"Ughhhh im so damn tired " Kehlani said throwing her head back
"Girl you should be. You two months pregnant now and won't stop working" I said laying my clients edges
"That's because stuff around here isn't free. I still want to Expand my shop a little and a bunch of other things I need to handle" Kehlani said
"But girl you been working nonstop since you became pregnant. Like that's to much ok you and my niece/nep ain't bout to be stressed." I said
"Okay this will be $45 " I said to my client

She gave me $45 and exited out the shop. I plopped down in my chair next to Kehlani when jada came and plopped down next to me in the other chair.

"So tired " Jada said
"Me too girl" Kehlani said
"Me three" I said
"So Kehlani when we planning on expanding this shop? We need to had more chairs and more workers definitely on the other side" Jada said
"I was thinking about asking trey did he know anybody for that. And I also want to start doing nails and lashes along with hair" Kehlani said
"Ou girl yes. Then we wouldn't have to go to the nail shop. We could come to our own shop!" I said
"Exactly. So that's what I'm thinking about doing"
"Oh bitch we really bout to make some money now" Jada said
"Hell yeah" I said
"Oh girls it's just now beginning " Kehlani said
"Girl how was the ultrasound?" I asked
"It was wonderful. I'll show y'all pictures tonight if y'all can come over" Kehlani said
"Awww. Okay and we will be there" Jada said
"Fasho" I said
