It's Just A Date

It was a brand new day, the girls had overslept after staying up all night. Luckily, there weren't any important plans for the girls this morning. Just a day where they can relax or do whatever they wanted to do.

Emma was the first one to be awakened from the birds chirping outside the glass door, "What time is it?"

"Eleven...something...I don't know my eyes are still blurry. I can't see" Stacey was trying to spot the time on the wall clock but her vision wasn't as clear as it used to be.

Jenni was still laying on the mattress laid out in the living room, "I'm still tired." She groaned while pulling the blanket to cover her face shielding it from the world.

"Any plans for today?" Stacey sat up from the sofa and looked across to see Emma checking her phone from the other end.

"No, not really. It's nearly noon." She placed her phone down at threw a pillow down at Jenni, "Wake up honey."

"Let me sleep."

Stacey chuckled as she knew what was going to happen today, they're planning on making sure Jenni was going to tell Danny about that thing they were supposed to discuss earlier.

"Jenni, we know you're trying to avoid it but you can't." Stacey also threw a pillow down at Jenni.

Poor Jenni, getting hit by her two closest friends from popcorn to pillows. What had she done to deserve such treatment? That's right, she usually played pranks on them in their daily life.

Emma got off the couch to pull the large blanket covering Jenni. It was a tug of war, Stacey joined in to help.

"The longer you wait it out won't do you any better." Stacey pointed out and went to tickle Jenni making her let go off the covers.

Jenni couldn't stop laughing from all the ticklish sensations going through her body, "After lunch okay."

"Fantastic, well I'm going to take a shower." Emma went upstairs with her bag of clothes she brought with her.

Jenni went back to sleeping and Stacey decided to make a phone call to Nicholas about Fredrick. She searched for her phone hidden somewhere on the sofa and went outside to the porch in the backyard.

It wasn't as cold as last night but it was blazing hot with the sun beaming down at the grassy ground. If there was a zoom in on the grass, water can be seen evaporating from the afternoon sun.

"I don't know if I should bother him at this hour." Stacey contemplated to herself whether if it was the right time to call.

"What if he's busy?"

Before she knew it a voice can be heard on the other line, "Hello?"

"Oh crap! I've already dialed his number." Stacey dropped her phone on the grass in panic.

"Stacey?" His voice called out from the ground.

She picked it up immediately and wiped some residue off it, "Hey Nicholas, are you busy at the moment?"

"Uh, not at this moment. I'm just on my way to a conference." He was in a car, the background noise was recognizable and loud.

"Oh, okay good. So you got a few minutes?"

"I do. Stacey is something wrong?" His voice grew worriedly but couldn't hear her clearly from all the static. They were going into a tunnel.

She took a seat on one of the outdoor furniture placing the phone closer to her side, "No. I just want to ask you a little favour."
