The Truth - Part 7

The Truth - *Smarty's POV*

"What just happened?" Emily asked softly grabbing my arm

"She left.. again.." I looked at the door hoping she would walk back in and let me explain everything

"If I knew this was going to happen I would of invited one of you to lunch instead" Chilled growled walking to the kitchen

"Mummy?" Conor slowly walked down the stairs as we all looked up at him

"What sweetie?" 

"Is the mean lady gone?"

"She isn't mean" She replied hugging him

"She yelled at Uncle John, therefore mean!" I laughed picking him up

"Remember the girl in my story?" He nodded

"That was her" 

"That means you lied about the ending!" He looked at me upset

"Well Conor sometimes life isn't a fairytale"

"But it's meant to be" He gave a kiss to Emily and Chilled as I carried him to bed

"What if you changed the ending so it was true?" He asked 

"It's not that simple buddy" I tucked him in sitting next to him

"But what if it was?" He mumbled closing his eyes as I started to text Maddie, I had "Borrowed" her number from Chilled's phone and had even tried calling her but when her sweet voice answered I got scared and hung up.

*Maddie's POV*

I slammed the door shut checking my phone

4 messages - Chilled

1 message - unknown number

7 missed calls - unknown number, Chilled, John and Mark

I sat on the bench going threw them 

Chilled: Maddie I'm really sorry

Chilled: I didn't know that you would act like that, if I knew I wouldn't of invited him, sorry

Mark: Hey sweetie hows your evening? :P

Chilled: Look I know you are annoyed at him but please call back

John: Bitch you never skyped me for christmas, love you anyway little sis :D <3

Chilled: Merry Christmas, also I'm sorry

The last one caught my attention though

Unknown: Hey its John, look Chilled never told me that you were coming and if I had known I probably wouldn't of showed up. After we left PAX I was crushed but I never gave up hope on you but the less we talked I knew I couldn't do anything and when I went over to Australia Libby told me you had moved for university and she wasn't sure where you were. Now I don't know if she lied or it was true but it hurt me Maddie, I have moved on though and I am finally looking for love again. I did love you though Maddie...

He waited for me?.. He said he loved me... But I was only a teenager... Why would anyone care for me?..
