*ANNASPOV*
Ag and I finally got out of bed at around 1pm to go get started with my grad party preparation. I drank the coffee she got me an hour ago and the cold breakfast left in the bag. I mean, I had a good morning so I'm not complaining.
We got ready and hopped in the car, she turned on some Juice and we jammed out for a little bit. Our first stop was a small party store about 20 minutes from my house. We walked around for a while and we found balloons, streamers, etc. Ag decided to buy some handcuffs she had found around the store and I managed to swipe them back before the cashier saw them.
"Not funny." I whispered and nudged her side. She laughed anyway and the cashier gave us a weird look. I was trying really hard to hold in my laugh.
She stood behind me and whispered in my ear. "I think we should try some out." It sent chills through my body and I tried my hardest to speak normally as we checked out.
Our next stop was target. We walked towards the store hand in hand, I kept looking over to see her eyes lit up by the sun as we walked through the parking lot.
"Stop looking at me, you weirdo." She gave me the side eye.
"Okay." I rolled my eyes and she laughed. "I just thought you looked good today but, I guess I changed my mind."
"Hey Anna, who..." she looked around.
"Don't you da-"
"...asked?" She thought it was hilarious. I just rolled my eyes as we laughed walking into the store.
To our surprise, we saw a few people I knew sitting at the starbucks inside. Not people I wanted to see. Ag wasn't really paying attention to them, but I took my hand out of hers and acted like I was fixing my shirt. Then they walked up.
"Anna, how've you been?" Carson asked with a smile. "You guys seem like you're having a good time."
"Ha, yeah. I'm good." I nodded and watched a few of Ambers friends walk up after, but Amber didn't seem to be with them.
"Who's this?" Madeline pointed to Ag.
"Oh uh, this is Ag." I said nervously. "She's part of the friend group that's flying out for the grad party this weekend." I didn't look at Ag when I said "friend group."
"Well nice to meet you, I'm carson." He reached out his hand and shook hers. "This is Madeline and that's Katie."
"Nice to meet you guys. So, you're all coming this weekend?" She was trying to be nice but, I could tell that she felt slightly uncomfortable.
"Wouldn't miss it." A voice came up from behind us. It was Amber.
"Yeah, we were all talking about it. A few of the guys plan on coming too." Carson nodded. "Oh hey, this is Ag, Anna's friend."
"Well hey there, it's so great to meet you." She said with a fake smile.
She bumped right in between Ag and I. I stepped back a bit as Ag glanced over. The distance between us suddenly feeling cold from what I assumed to be Amber's heart.
"You know, I was so looking forward to meeting you. I follow Annas tiktok and I always see your name pop up!" She put a hand on her arm. Of course she did.
"Yeah, well maybe you should follow mine then." Ag laughed.
"Well, I hate to leave you guys but, we kind of have some things to do to make sure this party goes as planned." I said as I pulled Ag over to me, noticing her smirk due to my possessiveness.
"Can't wait for the party Anna, seems like there's gonna be some competition there?" She put a finger on her cheek. "Bye." She waved and everyone else joined her.
I rolled my eyes and I stomped my way through the store. It was about 20 minutes of me mumbling underneath my breath, aggressively grabbing things to put in the cart, and not speaking to Ag because of my own temper.
"Boon, are you good?" Ag asked as she reached for my arm.
"I'm fine." I sighed.
"I can see what you mean about Amber." She pursed her lips. She slid her hand into mine. "She's hot, I'd worry too." She laughed and I glared at her.
"Not funny." I gave her a dirty look and took my hand back.
"I'm kidding." She laughed. "She definitely just seems like a bitch." She smiled and I finally cracked a smile too.
"I hate her, and did you see the way she was eyeing you?" I gave her a look. "'I was so looking forward to meeting you...' like shut the hell up!" I mimicked.
"Anna, chill." Ag grabbed my shoulders. "Although I like how jealous you are over me, I already told you, there's no competition there. And she can say there is all she wants, but she doesn't stand a chance against you." She pulled me in for a hug.
I hugged her back and she kissed my cheek. We bought our groceries and headed back to the car. The party was coming together nicely and now Ag and I just needed to make a playlist.
"You're still down to help with a playlist right?" I got in the car and sat my drink in the cup holder.
"Yes of course." She laughed.
"Thank you for everything." I smiled as she reached over and grabbed my thigh.
"Boon, you don't have to thank me." She smiled.
"You really out here simpin." I laughed.
"Uno reverse, miss 'you taught me how to be happy.'"
"Shut the hell up." We both laughed.

Amber seems like a bitch if imma be honest. Also, I know everyone always adds in someone like this but I promise she ain't nothin special to this story 😹😹 updates are coming, I'm just trying to make them as good as I can.😅
