I hide my heart away,
So nobody can see,
The girl I'm everyday:
Frightened; never free.Afraid of whom I love,
And what I seem to be.
No angel from above,
Just demons within me.If father should find out,
No son-in-law he'll have,
At best, he will just shout,
At worst I'll have to scaff,And live life on my own,
Much too far from my home,
And on the streets I'm thrown,
Don't want to be alone. So I'll lock my heart up.
I'll toss it in a cage.
Back into the lineup.
Just waiting for the page,Of my freeing chapter,
When I'll be me for once,
Escaped from the captor,
No longer feel a dunce.I'll await the day when,
All love is free to give.
When that day arrives then,
All hearts are free to live.
