{Phoenix Pov}

"Phoenix!" A stern voice snaps as we all turned to see my mother standing at the end of the hall we were in with an angry look on her face,

"John and Jezzabelle, you two can go back to your duties now" She says walking up to us as they both bowed before walking away as I rolled my eyes at how happy John was to walk away with her,

"When were you going to tell me that there were human slave owners downstairs in our dungeons being tortured to death?" My mother asks as I turned around to look back at her unfazed by her anger,

"If you knew what those assholes did to their slaves, you would know why they're there now" I replied as she scoffs,

"I don't care what they do with their slaves, more than half the vampires in this kingdom do bad stuff with their slaves but that is not our problem. If we decided to torture all vampires that treat their slaves bad, then we would have no human slave owners alive at all" She says glaring back at me,

"As the next in line for this kingdom, you have to be a great king to your people. And with that being said you mustn't let the way you feel about humans get in the way of leading your own kind. If the vampires in your kingdom want to rape, kill, or beat any of their human slaves, it is not up to us to change that" She says with an annoyed look as I rolled my eyes,

"It may not be up to you to do that, but once I take the throne I'll burn all of those assholes alive in front of the whole kingdom to watch" I snap back before walking away hearing her call my name,

"Boromir!" I snap walking down to the dungeons underneath the castle,

"Yes your majesty?" The head guard of our castle asks as I stopped in front of the dungeon entrance,

"How much did my mother see?" I ask while walking into the dungeons hearing grunts and groans,

"She only saw two of the vampires your majesty, the others were hauled into their cells before she walked in" Boromir replies as I walked around the dungeons seeing the seven male vampires Jezzabelle was sent to in the past,

"They're in the order I told you to put them in correct?" I ask turning to Boromir as he nods quickly remembering I told him to line them up in the order from the first one Jezzabelle was sent to till the last one,

"Let's see the damage" I say with a smirk while eyeing them all one by one to see how much the torturing was done to them,

"Your majesty, there was one problem with the last one" Boromir says as I stopped in front of the last owner Jezzabelle was sent to who was now covered in blood and scars,

"Since he is the smallest one out of the seven, his pain tolerance doesn't last as much as the others. He's been going unconscious much faster than the others and when he does become conscious again he only stays awake for a few more seconds between and we don't really have that much time to torture him while he's awake like you've instructed" Boromir continues on as I kneeled down in front of the scrawny looking blonde man on the floor in front of me that was unconscious,

"Well if he can't keep up with the rest, might as well finish his trial early" I say with a shrug before grabbing the back of his head and holding onto his body at the same time only to snap it off quickly,

"Clean that disgusting stuff up and then continue the torturing with the other six" I announce while standing up to wipe my hands as the rest of the guards in the dungeon around me nodded and got to work,

"oh and if my mother comes in here again, make sure to hide them all in the hidden cells in the back so she can keep her nosy ass out of my business" I say before walking out of the dungeon entrance as Boromir closed the door behind me,

"Good afternoon your majesty" The red head maid from the other night says as soon as I walked into the kitchen,

"What do you want?" I ask annoyed at how many times this chick has bothered me before trying to sleep with me whenever she has the chance to get me alone,

"I was wondering if you were exhausted or maybe in need of assistance for any of your needs, I'd be more than happy to assist you in any way or form you'd like" She says leaning close to me as I grabbed one of the wine bottles from the cabinets as I rolled my eyes,

"Yes, you can definitely assist me with something" I say pouring the wine into one of the glass cups on the counter as she stared at me with wide eyes,

"You can assist me by leaving me the fuck alone or I'd have to personally throw you into one of the dungeons downstairs where I doubt you'd ever get the chance to get out, ever" I reply with a fake smile before walking out with the wine glass and bottle in my hands,

I walked up stairs towards my room yearning for some rest in my large king size bed only to stop in front of my office seeing the only person in this castle that riles me up the most when ever I see the slightest view of her soft skin.

I walked up behind her as she bent over my desk just like she did the last time she cleaned my office the other night. I tilted my head to the side to glance down the small maid uniform showing off her smooth legs that I'd love to have wrapped around my wais-

"Oh! I'm sorry your majesty!" Jezzabelle gasps while turning around to bow in front of me as I noticed the front of the tight dress was showing as much skin as the back,

"Who gave you that uniform?" I ask walking around her to sit down in my office chair as her large hazel eyes followed me,

"It was the queen your highness" She says looking down as I took a sip from the wine glass I was holding,

"It's to small for you" I reply with a shrug as she looked back with a hurt expression before I sighed,

"Not only is my always horny cousin living here now, but all the male guards in the castle as well, can see most parts of your body that I will personally have them killed for if they spare a glance. I won't allow anyone else besides me see you in that. You can wear it for the rest of the day today but starting tomorrow I'll have Edith get you some more uniforms that cover you up more" I say while pouring more wine into my glass watching her nod back slowly at my words,

"You can continue cleaning" I retorted before putting down my glass and grabbing some of the papers on my desk to start off the stupid paper work my mothers making me do for the kingdoms benefits,

I started signing some papers while listening to Jezzabelles heels clicking as she walked around my office dusting and cleaning the dirty stuff around the room. As I worked, my eyes kept glancing up at the beautiful maid that was lowly humming to herself while she cleaned. Just as I was getting used to her humming a knock at my office door interrupted my working.

"Cousin! Look who came to visit?!" Ryder shouts happily at my office door as me and Jezzabelle both looked up seeing my cousin pulling in a person I almost forgot about,

"Did you miss me?" The shrilly voice asks as I froze while seeing the blonde figure I tried many years ago to get rid of  waltzing into my office with a tight red dress and black fur coat,

"I missed you so much, my bed has been so lonely without you" She says throwing my paper work off my desk so she can sit down on it in front of me,

"Aren't you going to say hi to your girlfriend for the past two centuries?" She asks leaning down to kiss me as my eyes turned to the shocked maid behind her.
